It could change at any moment, but the finals series could be interesting... Edmonton haven't been letting in 5-6 a game. Again, it could change, and very quickly with this team.

And Skinner ain't Bob

Well. Either this will be a fairy tale season for 97 and the Oilers… Or we run it back again again again next year.

My heart cannot survive. And yes Bat you can have my stuff.

OILERS NATION BABY! WOOOOOOOOOO!

Get Skinner out of there. He's having his on again OFF again night.

Hell, I could've stopped that shit.

i was joking earlier this week about pulling skinner after he gives up one goal, but dallas pulled otter out after the second goal which is absolutely ridiculous. why would you want to swap out your vezina-calibre goalie in an elimination game after he only gave up two goals which weren't really even that much all his fault and you are still very much in the game? sink or swim here, i can't understand that move for the life of me. and i absolutely do not agree with it. if he gives up a third and it's a stinker then yeah then yank him. but that's gotta be up there in one of the most questionable goalie swaps i've ever seen.

Pure panic from De Boer? Had to do something to turn the game around and here we are.

by throwing your superstar goalie under the bus and telling everybody that you are putting your faith in your season riding on casey desmith?

that was some serious bullshit right there. if that dude was any good vancouver would have kept him.

Not saying it was a good idea by any means but only thing i can think of why he did it.

well he gave up 2 goals on his first 2 shots but it's hard to pin that on a goalie when it's only like a minute or two into the game and you're already got him killing penalties and shit.

there's no way they should have put that shit on oettinger. i bet that dude was pissed. despite those two quick goals i don't really think it should have been on him. dallas just took a rough start. but abandoning their #1 dude right there that quick seems a bit absurd to me. i don't know if it ultimately cost them the game, but it's not a move that i'm really down with.

I agree with you, a dumb move and in no way can you blame Ottinger for the goals. But he had to do something and for some reason he went with a move that pretty sure made sure he is gone this summer, dont see Ottinger wanting to stay with De Boer behind the bench.

Time to look which coaches are available and place couple bets on next Stars coach.

the prospect of firing your coach after making it to the conference finals two years in a row is a little strange to me.

Perhaps but as you said, Ottinger is pissed at being pulled and pulls a Roy. Stars sticking with De Boer and trade Ottinger, hmm no idea what i would do if it comes to that.

if that leads to some locker room tension and they gotta get rid of the coach they may as well make a spectacle out of it and hire torterella or god forbid mike babcock.

i mean yeah they probably won't be going too deep into the playoffs then but at least there would be some good theatrics out of it.
