Matthews in Boston playing an important game? What else could happen lmao

Congrats, Canada. I feel like there needs to be one more game since it's technically 1-1, but this is only a side quest for the NHL and a great one at that. Puts the Pro Bowl and NBA All Star Game to shame. Hockey really is a wonderful sport and that was a great final game.

Rooted USA all the way but you're really not a loser as an Avalanche fan. And MacKinnon winning MVP was a pretty obvious choice and well deserving. Weird rooting against those guys on the ice. Bittersweet no matter what the outcome was.

Now back to the quest for the Cup!

Probably one of the best pure hockey games I've ever seen. No lulls in the action. They were going 100% at all times, and there was barely any room to breathe out there for both teams. Barely any penalties, and the goalies made them earn everything. Just an excellent game all around. I think the US outplayed them ever so slightly and were a lot crisper with the puck, and probably deserved one of those crazy chances in OT to go in. Dude had three "saves of the year" candidates in a matter of two minutes.

Speaking of Binnington, I apologize for my earlier remarks in this thread...
