Hard to get more tragic than losing your father unexpectedly and getting eliminated from the playoffs on the same day, on a power play that you created. I really feel for the guy. Hate to see it end that way.

Last year Skinner had probably his best series vs the Stars and it only didn't go 7 because the Stars got robbed in game 6 when they out shot the Oilers 34 to 10.

Oilers need consistent goaltending and better special teams. I favour either the Oilers or Stars to beat the Eastern team in the final though.

I was hoping Winnipeg would stretch that series to 7 to give Ekholm a couple more days.
