I've never gotten it... Why spend so much on a jersey (knockoff or otherwise) and throw it on the ice. They end up getting donated anyways, so just do it yourself and get the karma points
Maybe to reverse the curse, a Leafs fan has to sacrifice a jersey on the ice in the middle of the game.

Leafs win this series they're winning the Cup.

There's been many a jersey sacrificed before and failure is still the norm.. Maybe try something a bit different?

get a jersey with the a retired legend of that team. these days if you get a jersey of a good player it usually ends up a waste of money down the road after they get traded and shit.

I'll be rooting for Dallas if they don't blow it against Winnipeg (imagine blowing a 3-1 lead against a team called the Jets).


not quite as intimidating of a name as a team named the hockey club.

maple leafs are up there too. word is that toronto wanted to go with the axe murderers but wanderlei silva already reserved that name before he arrived in the womb so toronto had to go with the next most fearsome name in all of hockey. beware of the leafs. there's a pile of them laying on the ground!
