Poor Havelock. No wonder Vince hates the south so much.

I don't know if it was there when you were, but they closed down the Bayside diner in Havelock. The owner passed away and his daughter decided to sell.

The 40 MPH speed limit on 70 in Havelock is ridiculous when everything around it is 50-55 MPH.

I grew up in Newport right next door.

I haven't been there since 2008 but the closest Walmart to the air station was like 20 miles away in Morehead City. Hard times.

They put a Neighborhood Market in Newport about a decade ago. They put a Walmart near Slocum Gate at Cherry Point at the end of Havelock not long after that.

Just got back from the panaderia, got all my snacks and treats for the 4 day weekend of College Football Chaos!!

Normally, I woulda made the guacamoles and pico de gallos myself but I had my sweet Roxie Sox in the truck with me and it's a warm day so I left all the windows down and just quickly grabbed the fresh made stuff at the store instead of shopping for all the ingredients, couldnt risk someone approaching my open truck and trying to steal my 80 lb giant pitbull with a head like a moose!

Plus they were 25% off if you bought two so I pulled the trigger on that also
