So the PAC12 wasn't making money?

Michigan is a long ways from Oregon, Washington. To have that kind of travel as your league is ridiculous.

Apparently not enough, I agree that its dumb but it aint a huge mystery why they did it, if they saw more money long term in the Pac 12 they woulda stayed there

I do think some schools panicked and didnt think it through, though, they saw the LA schools jump and quickly reacted before the whole thing came crumbling down and they ended up stuck like Washington St & Oregon St

Its only a short matter of time til all the other sports outside of football and basketball go back to a more regional based conference system, though, they were already being propped up by the two money making sports and all the power players at these big programs are gonna get sick of seeing their profits getting burned on nationwide travel and lodging for the frickin mathletes and the ribbon dancers

Well the Pac 12 wouldn't exist once those west coast schools joined the Big 10. So it's either take ACC money or get nothing.
