Kerr is such a beta cuck he would probably step down so the warrios can keep Gaymond happy
It's been this way for a long time.MVP isn't a legit award, things like fatigue and racism and narrative are the biggest drivers... Its kind of a participation trophy at this point for any top 5 player in the league whos got a good story this year
It’s all subjective which is the problem. Not to mention it’s not a true measure of a player that is most “valuable.” This often isn’t the same as the best player in the league so it confuses many.MVP isn't a legit award, things like fatigue and racism and narrative are the biggest drivers... Agreed they should come up with something but it is still tough. It would be hard to ignore if a guy who has the best numbers in the league is on a mediocre or bad team. Or if a guy has the best numbers but also has a great team or all stars around them. Idk what the answer is.They should come up with a formula, and just apply it, and see what happens. The winner being the winner, regardless of team or story. Or at the least, come up with a formula that takes into account statistics, advanced analytics, wins/losses, etc., then at least let the voters see the results of the formula before they vote.

I'd agree with this. It's subjective, and the term valuable means different things to different people. I heard someone say it's how much winning a team does, and how much the best person on that team is responsible for the winning that team does, and I personally think that's right.
The thing is quite often the "best" player in the league, let's say defined as the player GMs would pick first to build a team around that year to win a title that year, is often, but def not always the most valuable in terms of how much winning a team does and how much they are responsible for it.
I'll respectfully disagree with @The Servant in that I don't believe narrative is GENERALLY the biggest driver. It tends to be the biggest driver only once in a while, most notably in recent history when a player is potentially gonna win it three times in a row i.e. Lebron 2010-2011, Jokic last year, Jordan 1992-1993 etc. That's overwhelmingly when the WS/48 and PER trends get busted up (not that they even had those metrics in the 90s, but even looking in the rear view mirror you see it). I think voters do get it right based on merit 80% of the time. The voters and league do like to share it more than they should since people like new and fresh stories, and it helps marketing more players; I don't think anybody could rationally dispute that.
@MusterX At the gym today this popped in my algo, some took the time to post a response to the video you posted. BTW Luka has made the advance to number 3 in the BR model. SGA dropped to 4.
They have been playing much better lately tbh. But I’m still skeptical because they have had literally the easiest strength of schedule since their bad streak. Just need to try to avoid the play-in.
Maybe, they are away games but the Mavs are playing their best basketball right now, 8-1 in their last 9 games and over a broader sample, 16-6 over their last 22. I think there is a good chance its a split 1-1.
I've just been trepidatious because a lot of games against bad teams have been harder than what they should have...
I am flattered but not interested to give points to people who watch players/athletes for their physique then they skill. It is really unseteling for grown ass man to be in awwww of how tall somebody is or how big of his biseps are. It is weird to me but muricans see competition in that so be itNeed to hear prime fican's opinion on MVP before I decide.
@fica who do you think is the MVP this year?
