For sure, but I think he's only missed 4 games this season, might have just been a bit of bad luck. Also keep in mind he's only 19 years old and will hopefully grow into his body some over the next few seasons.
He’s actually missed 11 games…and the fact he is this young and already getting hurt a lot is a concern.

He’s good to go today so hopefully he can stay healthy from now on

The problem, as I see it, is in the NBA you can't make championship runs without a deep bench and to get Siakam the Mavs would have to deplete their already thin bench. BTW the Suns are learning this the hard way right now. They sacrificed their bench for KD/Booker/Beal but goodluck with that.

I don't think anyone is looking to raid their bench since their bench is already dog water. Masai would pull the trigger for a handful of 1st's that are all likely to be late 1sts.

Yup their bench has nothing the Raptors would want so it would be mostly picks

I will also say in defence of what the Suns have built, even though they have had little to no depth to get them through when their big 3 has had an injury... When all 3 have been healthy recently (150 mins played together) they have had an offensive rating of 125, and a 110 defensive rating which is actually quite good. Now, will all 3 be healthy come playoffs? Because if one is out there season is done... It's high risk and high reward, vs middling and hoping for sun to shine and for some can to emerge and push you over the edge. I hate that the Mavs did so good in Luka's rookie year because he missed out on a running mate. I guess they did have Brunson though and lost him due to terrible GMing.

I must have blacked out those other games. Point is, lets hope he can get in order and stay on the court! <45>

I hope they make a deal and sign another decent backup too. Much needed when Lively is out or goes to the bench. There isn’t another good rim protector when he’s not on the court.

Spurs are terrible... no way Lurch leads them to the promise land :(

Good win for the Mavs, Kyrie with 42 and THJ with 41. We see this play out with this team repeatedly, if Luka is out Kyrie has to go for 40 and if Kyrie is out Luka has to go for 40. DLive struggled with fouls but still managed to get 12 boards.

Kyrie/Luka is enough to get it done. I'm not convinced they can't win it all. Dirk did it without a Kyrie.

I hope you're right, missed today's game.. but can't believe we lost the last game, and won this game.. they had Ingram and Zion this game but not in the last.. lol..

It’s called inconsistency lol. Like last week they finally get a big win and then lose to a bottom feeder team the next.

I disagree heavily. Two high usage guards who are elite offensively but bad defensively, mixed with zero other great/all star caliber players and mediocre group of role players can’t get it done.

The team Dirk was surrounded with were great veteran role players that all provided something different plus they had an elite defensive center. That era of teams was also the real start of the super team. Since that season, the champion has been basically a superteam or with 3 HOFers/all stars with a few exceptions. That same Dallas team would have lost to the Heat a year or two later when they finally played up to their potential.

I pretty much agree that Luka probably needs a super team to win a chip, and re big defensive downside of that duo.

But, there's a chance that Lively could grow into a sufficient centre (he's been really good so far), and Derrick Jones Jr. and Josh Green can play the role of athletic defenders / offensive slashers. If Kyrie and Luka play lights out and the team develops a bit, there's a small chance they could win a title with a slightly modified version of this group. A small chance.

Agreed. The key is really Lively and other role players they surround the core with.

Fun fact: The pistons have the same amount of wins (2) as the Lakers do since Dec.30th

Lakes competitive at the half against the Thunder. LeBald with only 8 points, if he comes alive they might actually get the win. That second half is a bitch though.
