Great 5 min video with JJ and LeBron talking about Kyrie Irving for anyone interested.

He's one of the most offensively talented players ever. Only knocks on him are consistency/availability and consistent effort, especially on defense. He was a lot better this year though. I'm also not sure how he'd handle being the main guy. Being a #2 to guys that can embrace the spotlight is the perfect scenario for him imho.

On a side note, I was checking something about Kyrie a little while back and noticed one of his nicknames is World B. Flat. Lol. World B. Free would love that.

Yea World B Flat is one of those uncommon names a lot of people have never heard, its kinda like Michael Jordan having the name Captain Marvel early in his career, and yes, announcers used to call him that in games.

Wait, are you talking about World B. Free or World B. Flat? World B. Free was an actual name but I don't recall Kyrie being called World B. Flat (unless I knew and forgot).

Everyone looks good when they're winning and playing well. The defending champs looked mostly like garbage against the Wolves. Aaron Gordon had the highest 3P% on the team, the role players were a disaster, and guys looked like they'd never learned how to play defense. You could have picked up a bunch of cans off the street and threw them out there with the same results. There were series where Derek Fisher, Robert Horry, Rick Fox etc were lights out. It's hard to make sweeping generalizations based off of one series or playoffs.

Fair fair, although I really feel as though it's much harder to defend now, 1 because they call easy fouls, and 2 because defenders have heaps more space to cover.

Also we're in the most talented offensive era in the nba right now, it's hard to defend these guys.

Either way, I'll have to watch some more games, but on watching these games recently that's what the eye test told me..

Dallas is winning the league

Everyone has their own perspective. I see the overall quality of defense has degraded but to each their own.

It’s epic to see how far they are falling . The only hope may be Space Jam 3 looming.

I disagree, Dante Exum can put the ball on the floor. He's not getting minutes because the team has a superior offensive system ready.

Josh Green can also do lots of things as well.

There are players like that, that you speak of, but they're becoming less and less in the league.

Guys can't play with their back to the basket as much, because they don't need to - spacing means threes or shots running to the basket are more relevant.

Although the post game coming back a bit now with certain players.

It's ebs and flows as the play style changes, but the increase in talent, at least in my opinion is staggering.

We will be bombarded with Hollyweird Leroid Faker drama hype all year long. It’s embarrassing they’re even being talked about so much. Get him out the league already for the sake of progression.
