Will be interesting. Small sample size, but the great Euro players tend to not team-hop. Dirk, Big Honey, Greek Freak and now Luka have only worn one NBA jersey so far. I think this plays against Luka Legend TBH.... will see what happens. Wonder if Luka does the "get me a better team or I leave" ultimatum how the Mavs would react.

I get that the Mavs have been boneheaded in their ability to acquire talent over the years but let me at least throw this on the table. The Mavs hired Nico Harrison in 2021 and he was thrown into a situation where the Mavs had very little to offer in terms of trades to make upgrades to the team. Since then he has consistently made the best trades he could and at times has looked brilliant, he brought in MidWiddie, he dropped off contracts that were bad such as Bertans, he dropped off problematic players like Porzingas, he picked up both Dante Exum and Derrick Jones Jr. when nobody else wanted them, he oversaw the drafting of the best Center the Mavs have had in over a decade, he also brought in guys like Grant Williams and Seth Curry, etc.

The Mavs now have more to offer by FAR then when he initially took over and hopefully he continues to shine because frankly, I think he can work his own magic when it comes to building this team.

That's a pretty tall order, Larry Legend founded the 50/40/90 club. He won 3 consecutive MVP's, 3 consecutive 3-point competitions, and 3 Championships while wearing #33. In fact, now that I think about it, that's some Freemason level shit. Rigged.

I'm not sure I agree. Larry was special. So is Luka, but Luka doesn't have Larry's resume. Larry was a better shooter, and at least equal or better at both rebounding and passing.

People have criticised Mavs for letting Brunson go, but I didn't see one analyst say that Brunson was worth to the Mavs what the Knick's ended up paying for him.

Knicks paid $104M for his contract. Everyone was saying that was way too expensive at the time.. hindsight is a bitch though..

Luka is more skilled and better than Larry ever was. Luka is better at everything except throwing his back out doing work he could have hired a Mexican for $10 an hour (in his era obv) and would have done it better than him.
