Texas isn't getting enough credit for beating Bama by double digits on the road because it was early in the season. I guess teams should only schedule marquee OOC games to be played in November in the future.

Happened to USC a lot in the Carroll era and really bit them in 08. I'm not really for a 12 team playoff and would rather keep it at 8, but if it keeps teams scheduling tough OOC then I'll be ok with that. I miss that 5 year build up after a home and home was scheduled.

Yeah a playoff was really needed in 08. A shame we never got Pete Carroll vs one of the Urban Tebow teams.

I mean it really isn’t surprising at all. Both teams are 11-1 with a top 10 win. They’re giving OSU the edge because their loss was to #2 Michigan, whereas Texas’ loss was to #12 Oklahoma. You’re splitting hairs

The mouth breathers ITT complaining about Texas vs Ohio State are focusing on the wrong thing. They should be complaining about FSU and their tomato can backup QB being ranked #4. If FSU is at 4, that tells me they’re not actually dedicated to picking the 4 best teams, because anyone who watched them against Florida on Saturday can tell they’re likely not even a top 10 team with Jordan Travis out.

Forgot about that. I think USC would've had the edge since the defenses would've canceled each other out and Leinart was obviously a better QB than Matt Mauck.
Also how lucky is LSU that all four of the title games they've played in have been in NOLA?
And UGA/USC should've been the Jan 2008 Rose Bowl instead of playing Hawaii and Illinois.

If qb play matters then osu shouldn’t even be in the top 10 with that weiner looking white guy at qb lmao.
 
Unless UGA pulls a Vince Russo swerve and elects to play in the Rose over the Sugar as #1.
