i think ron should just ignore trumps insults and shenanigans .. sure trumps gonna be as noisy and insultive as possible just to rile up his base, but if ron tunes that out and remains humble and just beats him in the primaries, he might not enrage the maga crowd that much as he would if they were at each others throats for years, and they could still very well support him in the 2024 election. if trump loses the primaries and most of the maga supporters ends up hating desantis over all the shit that gets flung at the wall, that might be enough just to get them not to show up and give ron their votes in the general election.

Guns blazing aggression might work as a strategy for newcomers in unstable environments where the title is up for grabs and there are no front-runners, but not as a permanent strategy. He's like some insecure fighter that trash talked his way to winning the title and then acts like he still needs prove he's the best by puffing his chest out to everyone. Guy needs to chill out and make friends.
