later in that statement, he claims to have sent the FBI to Florida to stop counting votes in DeSantis’ first election (2018).

One of the only times voter fraud claims were actually going down. There was some really shady stuff going on that they were trying to say it was incompetence instead of fraud. The boys came and shut down the hundred and one rules being bent and/or broken and forced the rest of the count to be by the book, and Brenda Snipes resigned days later over the scandal.

Again, I think if Ron and Don go head to head and Ron wins, it will make him far more appealing.

There are a lot of 'anyone but Trump' sentiments out there right now, and if not because people hate Trump, then because Trump is another old fart that nobody wants leading the nation.

But there's no way Don would ever be complicit in establishing a strong, alternative GOP candidate, so he'll likely try to burn everything to the ground.

100% agreed Don might very well go scorched earth like a spurned lover, tell his diehards not to vote for Ron or maybe even run 3rd party if he loses.

He’s throwing a tantrum about Desantis it’s alarming. He’s going to try and derail the 2024 election chances for republicans.

if ron runs and wins the primary has potential to hurt the dems because theres no way theyre gonna get that 81 million turnout just to vote for their candidate if they arent running against trump, a guy they genuinely hate. a guy like ron desantis isnt going to be as inspiring to get them to turn out and vote, because desantis didnt spend the better part of a decade trying to piss them off as much as possible and make them genuinely hate him enough to want to come out in force just to vote against him

but on the other side of the spectrum, if trump loses in the primary, you wont get as much of a turnout from the republicans either. the maga guys only care about donald trump and all things trump. if they dont see his name on the ballot, they aint even gonna care much for voting. especially when they believe that the elections are rigged and their vote is just gonna be stolen away from them and wont matter anyways.

its going to be really interesting to see how this plays out in the longrun. the way i look at it though, donald trump running in 2024 only stands to hurt the republicans. theres no way theyre gonna get that turnout from the democrats if he doesnt run, and i dont expect the republicans to get the same kind of numbers either.

if theres one thing i'm rather certain of, its that he'll be going out kicking and screaming one way or another and blowing his fraud whistle all over the place. it might be best if he just hangs them up and focuses on campaigning for other candidates. or maybe if he just hangs them up and stays at home, if his endorsement for the candidates in the midterms are anything to go by.

Yep.

Very likely.

You can't keep a lid on a delusional, silver spoon man-baby who was been told by so many Americans that he's the saviour of the country.

It would be ideal if they could, but they can't.

He's going to be at his vindictive best these next couple of years, potentially ruining 2024 for GOP voters.

You reap what you sow.

I'm not even sure the Republican party wants him campaigning for other candidates: he's an extremely toxic personality, and will somehow make everything about himself.

Look how his election deniers performed this week.

Some MSM (lol) sources have labelled it 'mixed' in terms of results - but let's be honest, it's been appalling!

Well I won’t vote for him in a primary.

Remember, though, that if it comes down to it and Trump _doesn't_ get the primary, he can of course be bought off somehow. I think, at the end of the day, he's more greedy than vain. It's very very close, but I think greed wins out.

With this guy, a 3rd party is very unlikely, but still possible. The old cheeto thought he could reinvent Twitter, so he probably feels he can reinvent American politics.

That would be ideal for Dems, as it would completely split the Republican vote.

If Trump isn't on the top (emphasis on top) of the GOP ticket in 2024 he will absolutely run as an independent and completely fuck the GOP over. Even if they don't want him. Even if they have other candidates who are more popular. It does not matter. The fact is they backed and helped build-up a narcissistic cult leader and now that cult leader has millions of red voters at his beck and call. Voters that the GOP absolutely needs to have any chance at all of winning a general election.

The GOP hand-cuffed themselves to a dead hooker. By the time they've sawn through their arm, the nation's demographic shift will all but ensure that they'll never win the White House again.

Bingo.

It's amusing to see that rightist rhetoric tries to paint Biden as being 'as bad as' Trump.

But Biden will disappear into the sunset when he loses an election, and won't take democratic legitimacy with him.

Trump will linger for a long, long time.

I don't think there's a Western leader that's as genuinely toxic as Trump.

Where people get it wrong is that Trump has few true "diehards". In 2016, people saw a way out of electing yet another establishment puppet candidate, simple as that. If the best avenue for avoiding a WEF policy driven agenda is named DeSantis or Gandalf, few people care either way.

MTG is up there too in the toxicity department, but i doubt the republicans would even allow her to run for their party. donald trump is about as high on the level of crazy as they would be willing to accept. and the worst thing that could happen to attract a stupidly high democrat voter turnout would be to have MTG as donald trumps running mate.

theres no way america could ever be crazy enough to elect that duo to captain their ship. or could they? let them split up and form their own maga party. anything else is just going to wreak havoc on the republicans.

i dont know if republicans are ever gonna break free of trump no matter what they do. they need his voting base. they just dont need him

I'm sitting here in Oregon, and it has taken literally all day for the governor's race count to go from 73 to 79%. Kotek is going to win, but fuck sake this shit has been stressful. Granted, it's not a stress we usually have, but still. Come on, man.

I live in Eastern Oregon (Trump country) and people are NOT happy about the election. Especially with it being as close as it was/is.

Maybe my view is skewed because I'm a YouTube addict but I see them in a ton of the comment sections.

I think it's more likely he bad mouths Ron and tries to drag him down, but I don't think 3rd party would be out of the question with that ego. I see 95% of the party lining up behind DeSantis if they do face off with how many bridges Trump has burned. He will probably use that to say he's still the outsider. Nobody that hires John Bolton is an outsider.
