Moderates are so hostile toward Sanders supporters when they discuss the issues and policy.

They need to consider unifying the party by joining Bernie instead of being so selfish and childish.
The frustrating part is nobody is offering up reasons to support Biden. Nobody is saying, I agree with the Iraq War, NAFTA, cutting SS, and imprisoning people of color for MJ related crimes. Nobody is saying they support Joe because they think he is sharp as a tack and is ready to get things done.

They say, I’ll vote for Bernie if my hands are tied, but that ad wasn’t perfect, or Bernie wants to get money out of politics, but he’s raising small individual donations. I like Bernie, and think he’s great, but what if he doesn’t get 1000% of the things he wants to accomplish on day 1? Bernie is my guy, but his supporters are tearing the party apart by supporting him. I just think Hillary was spot on to disparage him and lie about his support in her book, in her documentary, on the Howard Stern show, every time a microphone is put in front of her. I mean, I’ll vote for Bernie because we got to get rid of Trump, but shouldn’t we take another look at Biden who is almost exacdtly like the last candidate Trump defeated, only not nearly as smart or organized?

Very well put! They are grasping at straws trying to find ways to stop him by using dishonest framing and pretending to the "civil ones". A lot of passive aggressiveness and backhanded compliments. That is, outside of the more obvious smears by some pundits and segment of Hillary supporters.

I see support from 20 years ago, which is unfortunate for him. He can argue the video the Sanders people produced was misleading, which it absolutely was, but he may want to stop the "I have never been for cuts", instead opting for the tried and true, "I have evolved on the issue".

Like I said, voting for Bernie again, but if it is Biden against Trump, I still trust Biden with SS a hell of a lot more than Trump.

The video was clipped out of context. It wasn't a misrepresentation of Biden's opinion on entitlement cuts.

He's supported them his entire career, and he was deeply involved in the Obama administration's effort to make a deal to cut Social Security during the Grand Bargain negotiations with the House Republicans.

Biden has, in fact, spent decades advocating reaching across the aisle to work on entitlement cuts, and the Obama administration nearly finalized a deal with the Republican House leadership to cut Social Security until the Freedom Caucus scuttled it because they didn't want to comprise with Obama on anything.

The Obama administration was actually proposing bigger cuts than Paul Ryan was at the time.

The only real criticism against Sanders' campaign is that they should have used a video with better context.

The fact that these establishment shills and "fact checkers" ignored Biden and Obama's history RE entitlement reform when discussing the "context" of that video is what's embarrassing.

Clinton has tried to kneecap Sanders for the umpteenth time.

The notion that Sanders didn't support her in the general is complete and utter horseshit. He did FOUR times as many campaign events for her as she did for Obama in '08.

...and twice as many Clinton supporters in '08 voted Republican as Sanders supporters did in 2016.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-vote-for-trump-to-cost-clinton-the-election/

There was just as much bitterness directed at Obama by Clinton supporters in '08 as there was by Sanders supporters towards Hillary and the DNC in 2016.

Also, note that the person who interviewed Hillary for that NYT piece is a trust fund heir to two different billion dollar fortunes who went on MSNBC last year and said that Sanders "makes her skin crawl."

...and the mainstream media wonders why people don't take them seriously at all.

Politics is cutthroat

Biden wants to cut SS and lies about that fact

Shut up already
Listen you whiny bitch, I’ve said several times his record is fair game and Bernie should blast him.

Let’s be honest. You want me to shut up because I know you’re a cult member and I call you out and it has nothing to do with Biden. Now go back to jerking off to Bernie speeches.

I would argue that his current position is likely to just be the one that will get him elected and then he will "pivot" if he is elected and be glad to but entitlements in order to "save" them. Joe Biden is a liar and a plagiarizer too.

The video the Bernie people put out is bullshit but it is accurate to what Biden stands for IMO.
He’ll pivot towards trimming SS? Maybe. But that’s not what the video implied.

I don’t even care to argue about this stuff. I don’t think Joe is a good candidate. He has brain damage and there at least 5 better choices (including Bernie). The video is bullshit and I don’t know why you guys have to spin it.

Because she overplayed her hand and made herself look like a fool by pandering so aggressively. But you guys are overemphasizing this as some career ending gaffe when every candidate has unforced errors like this.

So why would lefties go into that circlejerk shit thread? Most of us are aware of her faults, and yet she is still vastly more qualified to be president than the current POTUS.

So basically that thread is so demoralizing it’s best to be avoided, got it.

Good summarization of the facts. Thanks. This notion that Bernie didn't support Clinton is absurd.

Btw, Bernie just got a new endorsement, and it's big one:

Knew this was coming. They never had a candidate that could self fund like Bloomberg is doing. He’s not going to have a warm welcome with this. I don’t think self funding is inherently bad. They should’ve thought the rule out better but I can see an argument for individual donors, especially early to slim down the field.

Accidental concession or...? If you're going to be hostile over something, that would be the thing to be hostile over.

It's not selfish and childish to not vote for your guy. It's selfish and childish to post what you just did, though.

Who should be on the stage beyond people who can win a delegate, and people who can get 10%?

Also, this rule change directly helps Bernie.

If this happens, the democratic party is done. I don't think it can recover from the backlash, and Trump will win. Maybe that's what they want though.

For all of the hype about "Bernie or Busters" costing Dems the election in the cycle, which was total BS, they'd actually lose the vast majority of Sanders supporters if they try to steal the nomination from him with a delegate lead.

Wouldn't just be disastrous for the presidential race, it would reverberate down ticket too.

Given how fast Tom Perez came out and publicly denied this yesterday, I just think that it's BS being leaked to the media by party insiders who hate Sanders.

Then again, the Democrats love to

LOL Sanders' surrogates told Clinton to fuck off on stage at a campaign event in Iowa last night.

Dem establishment types are having a meltdown and pretending that Clinton didn't launch four different unprovoked attacks on Sanders in the media in January.
