After seeing all the Bernie bros at my work flip like pancakes to Hillary after she stole the nomination and after they wailed and screamed that they would never support/vote for her because of it, I realized you can never trust a lefty to keep their word. 100% of them said that, and 100% of them voted for her. And 100% of them were yucking it up about their impending landslide Hillary victory on Nov 8th. All day.
And I laughed under my breath at 100% of them on Nov 9th, 2016.

Kyle has attacked Booker’s dad jokes etc. You’re misinformed if you think Kyle is being misogynistic in his attack patterns.
I agree that Kyle was being pedantic, but misogynistic no. Seemed like Trosky was making a general statement in that regard though.

That is how I took Booker’s comment.

Edit tbc - Booker is insinuating that Kyle is being misogynistic and @Trotsky is agreeing.
Kyle is not misogynistic, but i don’t think Trots pays much attention to Kyle so he might not be aware.

No, @Sano was on the nose. I don't think Kulinski is (exceptionally - we all are to an extent) misogynistic. I think he's being pedantic and a bit of a hack. My point is that Booker is right that female candidates receive excess criticism for social rigidity or perceived attempts to seem "cool." There's a level of artificiality or cheese to any and every politician: it's a necessary feature or byproduct of the job, where you try to seem comfortable when you're not and to put through your personality in a way that is charming. For politicians like Warren, Klobuchar, and Clinton, the backlash is consistently stronger than for Obama, Sanders, Buttigieg, etc.

I mean, look at how much Republicans harped on Clinton being fake and shit. Then compare that to Mitt Romney (!!!), the most fake and superficially inauthentic candidate in recent memory. To conservatives, he was basically the Fonz.

I don't think it's remotely plausible that he can effectively pressure enough currently opposed lawmakers to get M4A to pass.

This is at least a reasonable assessment. If you had started here I probably wouldn't have even argued the point.

This is from 3 years ago before Joe’s cognitive decline

The fall off is so steep from this to today. I still can't believe no one close to this poor guy has had the love and loyalty and compassion to sit him down and tell him that he is simply no longer up to the cognitive task of governance. It's tragic, both personally and for the party.

I did start there. My position arises out of that and other similar points. It's silly to wail about the small differences between platforms that won't pass anyway when the general election will present a real choice that carries real consequences.

I disagree. I don't feel like Klobuchar gets raked over the coals for her bad mom jokes during the debates. High Hopes Pete got pretty well slammed for how cringe inducing his dance + song is.

It all depends on the person. I don't remember anything Bernie has done that comes across like fellow kids. Hilldawg tweeting to rate your healthcare with emojis is clearly her and her team fellow kidding. They deserve to be raked over the coals for lying and being disingenuous; it's pathetic.

It was before the age of ubiquitous social media, but Joe Lieberman got raked over the coals trying to be cool.

edit:
Bringing up Republicans attacking the Dem nominee but not a Republican nominee is losing the plot and has nothing to do with misogyny.

What a bunch of hacks........ Any guesses what the headline would be for those exact numbers but Biden or Buttgig were at the top?

Ah, I was wondering what Biden was up to today. He went to Nevada, the third-voting state. Smart move imo. His polling lead there is small.

His campaign is probably planning for a scenario in which he loses both IA and NH. Nevada is the third state. There is something about losing three states in a row that will tend to fuel a national media narrative that he's not a winner and could lead to a serious under-performance in SC and on Super Tuesday.

I have to say, Biden's campaign has been strong overall. He will lose, but he has put up a much better fight than I expected.

Have the dem candidates been live streaming their rallies? I'd like to check some out.

Every Bernie supporter who flipped and supported HIllary over Trump did the right thing and it is amazing to me how often people try to spin it as anything other than what it is.

Yes. Try this method:

1) Youtube search the candidate's surname
2) Sort the results by upload date
3) Scroll. You should see some full town halls from the past few days.

Using that method, I found Bernard Sanders's latest rally, which was streamed 38 minutes ago:

Meh, I'm just going by what they screamed about and their integrity and conviction and blah-blah-blah for months that they abandoned. I get where you come from being a Hillary supporter, but compared to what they claimed, it was kind of a bitch move to me. Trump wasn't my favorite in the primary, but I was voting against Hillary no matter what so I get what you're saying.

This is normal

In fairness to CNN(ugh, that makes me feel dirty), the headline is accurate. A 3% difference with margins of errors to consider, is not exactly "clear". It's pretty tight overall.

Tulsi or Bernie. Otherwise I’m most likely voting Trump.
