I suppose GSP was the only fight he was open to outside title fight. Oh well.

I'm on vacation and was catching up on my sleep. I only woke up at 1:00. So, I'm still trying to catch up on this BIG news.

Well Bisping, you did it, you managed yet again to avoid a real contender like Jacare or Gay Jesus.

Legacy won't pay your bills though. There was an interview not too long ago where Bisping said he has never had a million dollar pay day. He probably makes 2 Million after this.
He is not some new, broke fighter. If he was, id get it more. He's one of the top paid fighters in the UFC. He has a job as an analyst as well.
If you're nearing the end of your career, as he is, you should be thinking about legacy in a sport like fighting. If you're not, then you're free to do that, but you deserve all the criticism that comes your way.
This fight is taking money out of the pockets of guys like Yoel and Jacare

Fucking bullshit!
I really hate how Jacare is getting screwed all the time.
Bisping will win in a decision.

Well Bisping doesn't really have the best tdd or ground game. He might be able to lay on top of him for 5 rounds or possibly pull off a submission. To be fair to Bisping he's only been tapped by Rockhold who has an extremely underrated bjj game. This should be an extremely tough fight for GSP, especially considering how long it's been since he last fought.
ring-rust GSP, maybe he has improved in his weak areas while being inactive for fights ?

Well, that's certainly unfair to the real contenders at MW.. though I can't say I have much sympathy for the likes of Cheatin' Yoel. Is GSP gonna get a drug exemption too? because there's a reason he quit around the same time USADA was coming in.. he isn't natty.

They can run but they can't hide

Yoel will punish whoever wins for making him wait this long

The beginning looks like he is receiving quite a fabulous blowjob

If GSP wins he'll duck Jacare & Yoel.

These two (GSP & Bisping) are a pair of wallies, both afraid to fight the two rightful contenders.

GSP ducked MW forever he wanted nothing to do with Anderson but now that Bisping is champ he gets an immediate shot? The fuck kind of shit is this? Fuck current UFC. Every day the belts mean less and less when not only are the top guys not getting title shots, but all the championship fights are now turned into freakshow bouts

Jacare would choke both GSP and Bisping the fuck out, yet now is probably gonna have to fight 5 more times before he even gets a shot.
He would invite Silva for fight if he wins over Bisping, for sure. The only big pay-day in the MW division unless any of the Diaz bros wanna come up to MW for a chance at a belt (poor Romero if GSP wins because he will have to wait for a long time).

This is perhaps the biggest matchmaking travesty in an organization that has seen its fair share. There's absolutely no justification for giving GSP a title shot after a 3 and a half year layoff at a weight class in which he's never competed. Don't be shocked if the UFC immediately looks to protect GSP in the event that he wins because Romero is his absolute nightmare matchup; a bigger, stronger better athlete and wrestler with massive KO power. Given how much trouble GSP had with Hendricks, I could see a fight with Yoel turning very ugly.

damn Luke Thomas is gonna have a meltdown
He probably should.

Maia was likely told to go ahead and take a fight because the winner of Woodley/Thompson is going to fight mcgregor in the summer.

GSP hasn't fought in four years and Bisping is bigger than him.

Bisping will stuff his take downs and pick GSP apart on the feet.

Yep, it might happen, but GSP'll have most likely have a pretty decent plan to win that fight.

My point is that he looked bad only twice in his career (Serra and Hendricks), the last time was against Hendricks and he managed to win in the end with better cardio and he was starting to catch up to what Hendricks was doing at the end.

It's a pretty exiting fight, anything can happen

Bisping the most protected champion since Tito and the UFC's credibility down the toilet for good.

Time to ignorc the pointless belts for goods and fall back to rankings.

These profit driven match ups are getting out of hand.

Just makes the entire sport weaker and takes away from its legitimacy.

Indeed, if we're following the adage that styles make fights, I can't think of two worse matchups for GSP, with Romero being particularly nightmarish.

GSP would retire again if he won though. No way he wants any part of Ronaldo or Roms. I doubt he would want to face Weidman or Rocks either.

If GSP wins it's between Nick Diaz or Anderson Silva, GSP is back for the money so just forget about Romero, they might arrange a interim belt for Romero against someone else while GSP promise to relinquish the MW belt in case of win in a fight between: GSP vs Silva/Diaz.
