I can see how non comic book folks would get turned off by the hefty dose of make believe in the rest of the MCU. But winter soldier is more 007 than Superman as a movie, with a relevant plot. It's one of my favourites as well.
That dude with the flame thrower guitar is so rad. I love that they had a marching band with their military unit, essentially. A really great touch.

GOTG is a fun family type of flick I'd put in the same category as Big Hero 6 or Wall-E, so it's up there. Ragnarok rates because I used to collect Thor, and I'm a geek at heart. But overall it's probably winter soldier. It's a good flick even in a vacuum devoid of all the trapings of the set of the genre. It's legit, stand-alone good imo.
I'm really intrigued by, "The Shape of Water" anyway. That's next before Star Wars. Which will be a minimum 8-peat.

This will be an amazing (albeit animated) Batman flick the guys who did afro samurai and ninja scroll are doing it (probably the best dream team you can think of)
The fight choreography in that film is superb.
yeah winter soldier was the best IMO dark gritty the surprising turns it takes etc... i think i liked it because it had little iron man in it (kinda getting sick of tony stark at this point)
