My biggest worry is that the expectations for Trump are so low that all he needs to do is string one or two coherent sentences together and not shit his pants or spontaneously combust and the media will probably spin it as a win for him.

"omg look he didn't even start ranting about ragheads or anything! So presidential!"

Hillary is a very successful attorney studying her ass off for the debates. Trump is a loudmouthed shnook.

So she is a brilliant lawyer, but she can't be bothered to know how to properly email classified information? The "c" is so confusing to this brilliant woman.

So what you are saying is that she is a criminal and liar, but not a dumbass. <40>

If it wasn't for that damn media always giving Trump the benefit of the doubt, Hillary would have won by now.

He's going to savage her, bro, and I can't wait! People will say, "Bullshit, Hillary will DESTROY Drumpf Hitler because she knows policy inside and out and he doesn't." Well, guess what dummies? A policy wonk is not going to win a debate with Donald Trump. Hillary can bring up whatever she wants and say Trump is ignorant with regards to it; you know what his response will be? The emails. Libya. Syria. The Clinton Foundation. Benghazi. Etc. The list of fuck-ups is endless, and all he has to do is bring them up and nobody will remember what she said, they'll just remember about all these failures on her record.

He doesn't have to say anything about policy and he's still going to shit all over her. It's going to look like Gore vs. Bush. No one gave a fuck about the Dingall-Norwood bill (which, amusingly, is essentially what W articulated before autist Gore proved his point), but they did give a fuck that W underscored how pathetic Gore was for trying to intimidate him.

Hillary has no sizzle; Trump is all sizzle. Sizzle beats wonk; it's like political roshambo.

I think time is on Hillary's side. The longer the debate goes on, health issues notwithstanding, the more it benefits Hillary. Trump shines in short bursts where he can say wild things and leave the crowd wanting more, but after a couple of hours he gets old. The best chance Trump has is that the debates take a physical toll on Illary, because I think he loses the war of attrition here. While Trump is no slouch, she is also very fierce. She's got hot sauce in her bag swag... Gowdy, who made Comey look foolish, couldn't bury Hillary. That's telling.

This was my line of thinking as well. On top of the unlimited amount of negative things he can bring up, there's also nothing deterring him from bringing up her failing health. It's gonna get ugly - fast

I think his physicality is really going to be a factor here. He's very big--around 6'2"--and despite his age he's very high-energy, to borrow his phrase. That's going to come across when he's compared to shriveled, sickly Hillary. When he embarrasses her we know her reaction: phony smile, chuckle, looking down at cheat sheet, head shake, rolling eyes with fake smile. While she's doing that, Trump is burying her, loudly, and gesticulating. He has the energy to do that for 2 hours. On the subconscious level the physical contrast is going to favor him in the eyes of the viewing public greatly.

Could it get tedious? Yeah, it could. But he's good at not answering questions (in that sense he's a talented, natural politician) and will continually give vague answers to policy questions and find ways to attack Hillary. And during those attacks all we'll get is the chuckling and head shaking. She's going to look weak and guilty next to Trump's confident, aggressive body language. The white knights won't like the big guy picking on the weak old grandma, but most Americans hate both of them so not many overall will sympathize with her. Especially as Trump continually rattles off scandal after scandal that she can only answer with chuckles, head-shakes, and weak responses like "what difference does it even make."

People forget how quick witted Hillary is. You can view many of her "debates" with various people, and she's very well versed in these types of talks.

Gowdy has become somewhat of a hero around here, and you can see Hillary interact with him through the Benghazi hearings and come out unscathed. If she can withstand the 3 hours, she should have no problem with Trump, in fact, she should come out on top if she doesn't cough up a lung.

Traditionally she's alright. I think the Trump card here he's been getting help and his PC game is improving. And he intimidates Hillary. I think he'll do very well.

One of Trump's strengths is absolutely an uncanny ability at dodging questions. He seems like a lifetime politician in that regard. Which is one of the reasons, I think, long debates don't benefit him. He's a 20-minute catchphrase slinging type of dude. Hillary will do better, if her health endures, over a longer period, IMO.

I believe they'll both come out about the same. Frankly, it's tough to tell what's going on. This just might be another brexit.

I sincerely doubt he will and it's not just bias talking; if I was a Hillary fan I'd be worried about the debates.

"your husband was getting BJ's from secretaries in the White House while you were his wife........and you stayed with him"......booom

If the moderators feel pressure and go on relentless attack mode it could happen.

The first 2 debates the moderators heavily favor Hillary.

Exactly, and even Wallace is a registered Democrat.

All four moderators, Holt, Radditz, Cooper, and Wallace, are Dems.

But these are minor details, I'm sure.

"your husband was getting BJ's from secretaries in the White House while you were his wife........and you stayed with him"......booom

She's gonna hit him with all his divorces and how she stuck it out when things got tough and yada yada.

Trump will blow his wad in the first

Hillary could probably do fine being pumped up on drugs and just repeating the same talking points she's had for the last few months and ignoring rebuttals and moderator questions

That being said, she may or may not blow her wad and KO herself as well
Well said.

Amazing. She's utterly incredulous at the cop telling her to not instigate a fight. "Poor little old me driving by telling people to go screw themselves for their political views is wrong? What's the world come to..."

Trump supporters are immune to him lying, flip flopping, having no real policy ambition, spouting vacuous self promotion and revealing the depth of his own ignorance, so of course there's no possible outcome of a debate that they would see as a loss..
