How what works? Favorability? Polls? It is how it works. You impress people with shit you say, and they start to like you more. Trump's speech tonight was perfect. He admitted faults, while also maintaining his focus on the issues, and kept up attacks on Hillary and the media, but did it in a more professional, yet still Trump way.

He's now started to buy ad time on TV. I don't know how big of an impact his party shakeup has actually had, but tonight he looked really good. If he can continue to do what he did tonight(big IF), he'll tighten up the race in no time.

The wiping the slate clean. One good speech (I am taking your word for it, did not hear it) does not erase all the crap he has said leading up to this point.

Besides, he has done one or two on topic style speeches before, and is calm for a little while. Then goes off on something again.

I would argue that because he has only "said" some controversial things, it's an easy slate to clean. Unlike Hillary's problems.

It won't "erase" what he has said, but presenting himself like he did tonight will make the things he has said in the past, very easy to forget. Not like that would be anything new for Trump, either. I mean we're talking about a guy who basically said John McCain was a pussy for getting captured. This is what he does.

Oh', no doubt. I can only say that tonight's speech seemed different, and a was a big improvement over past re-starts. Combined with his party shakeup, it leads me to believe that they have set him straight. He wasn't robotic, and he wasn't "Trump". He was right in the middle, which is where he needs to be.

Yup, he said stupid things and squandered his campaign. He should've been more aware of the scrutiny he would be under, and everyone knows the establishment didn't want him to win. He should've had this one in the bag, it should've been easy going against Hillary. He was too "himself", a little too real. Should've been fake like the other politicians, unfortunately.

The Clinton presidency was decided long ago.

The people will be the ones to suffer though. If you think Trump is racist/sexist/a bigot, you've bought into the propaganda. Was all orchestrated. But it doesn't matter anyway.
