I'm sure Christie is going to receive quite a bit of calls tomorrow for his support. Well, from everyone except Marco.

Trump won across ALL demographics — independents, women, educated, HS only, high income, low income and had more than double as 2nd place (34 to 16).

That's supposing that ALL of their supporters don't have Trump or Cruz as their 2nd or 3rd choice. That's rarely the case.

But realistically, Bush has less than a 1% chance at the nomination, if that.

Republicans are sick of the Bush family. That family has tainted the party for far too long.
Its rarely the case, but this is a rare primary. Trump and Cruz have unfavorables that are very unusual.

In NH and Iowa, if all the Kasich/Rubio/Bush/Christie voters were voting for one of them instead of splitting, they would have won it. If Bush is last man standing of those 4, he's got a fghting chance.

*Sigh*

Believe what you want.

I've heard Bernie say it a couple times now, but how would they tax "Wall Street Speculation"? That doesn't make any sense at all.

Exactly, he would need for them to keep speculating and profiting from it so he could then tax it. Like much of Bernie's agenda it is not based in reality, but more of a socialist utopian fairy tale.

I haven't watched the last couple of debates but I thought Jeb came off as a limp dick when I saw him and I was expecting him to crush the field.

Maybe Jeb's plan is to watch the other guys eat themselves and then go on the attack. He can also afford to be in this for a long time but the others can't say the same (except Trump).

normally true, but Gingrich took it back in 12.

Newt showed poorly in Iowa and NH... This cycle, we are pry looking at a SC winner who also took either Iowa or NH. Cruz needs to pull something magical to knock Trump down in the next week if he wants to have a shot.

Polls are always very suspect, especially with the favorable/unfavorable question.

A huge percentage of people change based upon learning more about the candidate.

hi SOA,

i think Jeb Bush will still emerge from the GOP pile.

Mr. Trump had a very big night, but its hard for me to imagine him winning nomination races coast to coast...and Mr. Rubio just got the back of the hand tonight.

we'll see...but i think you're right; Bush has the money to keep going and going and going...

...as long as he hangs in there, you never know.

The Kasich scream?

Sure. But Trump already pretty well known. And there's nothing that makes me think that as America learns more about Cruz he will be more likable. Quite the opposite.

If Trump heads into the convention with a plurality of delegates, and the party nominates someone else, does he run indy?

4 way race between Sanders, Bloomberg, Trump, and Cruz . . . Who ya got?

Wow IGIT. Never would have thought, that you would think politics as usual is even plausible at this point.

Out of curiosity, what would it take for you to think the political establishment is dead on arrival this election?

Bush will be one of the final 3 for sure. The field is so split, and he has money plus organization. If Rubio and Kasich are out after Super Tuesday then Bush has a chance. If they are still standing then he can't win.

That's how I see it as well.

In terms of taxing wall st. I've read some platforms that would add a micro tax to the computerized trades outlined in "Fast boys" where corps can trade thousands of times in a second.
