Yup and Moncada a HR away from the Cycle the day before the deadline, Devers is also on fire and homered on Thursday and Saturday.

Francisco Mejia's hitting streak up to 44 games

Best sign was the 1 walk tbh, he had been issuing free passes at Henry Owens levels.

Thats now 42 K's in 28 innings in Salem. Don't think he'll make it to AA this year due to all the lost time though.

Jeez, Dylan Cozens, Phillies prospect, with three HR tonight.. giving him 30 on the year.

Two more HR tonight.. 32 now and his teammate Rhys Hoskins hit his 33rd HR tonight.

Phillies AA park is a bandbox. It's where Darin Ruff put up those huge he #s as well.

On to real prospects, Dodgerz Yadier Alvarez 5ip 0er 7k. He has been absolutely lights out so far 33Ip 50ks. He may be the best low level pitching prospect in baseball. His stuff just screams ace.

.

Well yeah, there's a reason they aren't in the top 100. But it's fun to see video game numbers.

Also, Francisco Mejia extended his hitting streak to 47 games tonight.

Mejia extends hit streak to 48

2 more HR's for Devers last night. Hes been very good since that awful first month and a half.

Devers slash line from one of the guys on soxprospects

.186 / .269 / .295 (174 PA) through May 25
.307 / .346 / .396 (107 PA) May 26 to June 28
.348 / .398 / .626 (170 PA) July 1 on

.332 / .378 / .548 since May 26

Also Moncada Homered in his first game back from the Grade A ankle sprain. Good to see it coming from the right side as he hasn't looked great hitting righty.

Dodgers prospect Johan Mieses 4 game Homer streak, has 13 homers in last 19 games and a 1.500 ops last 12 games(no that's not a typo)

Kopech K'd 11 in 5 innings last night, now has 60 K's in 38.1 innings in Salem. Walks still an issue and i think he might end up in the BP.

Anyways still waiting on the Jason Groome debut, hes been throwing BP's in Forth Worth and will apparently throw a couple simulated games this week. Apparently the plan is to send him to short-season Lowell to make a couple starts.

Yadier Alvarez 5ip 0er 8ks, hits 101 on the radar. Era down to 2.38, 15 ks per 9.

Last year's #1 international prospect has looked like a future star this year. Has as much upside as any pitcher in the minors. May have even more potential than Julio Urias

Kopech with another good one. 5 ip 4 H 1 BB 8 K
What's this I'm hearing that he could be a closer by the time he gets to Boston?

Hope not, I just bought some bowman chrome autos of his :D

Edit, NVRMD, I just saw your last post.

Bobby Bradley with his 26th HR today. Been destroying the ball lately. Too bad those K's are out of control. Hopefully at 20 years old in high A ball he can start using better plate discipline in AA. I remember Gallo had the same problem and was slaughtered at first AA.

Dominated again tonight, love seeing zero walks. Just turned 20 in April but hes clearly too good for the level, wouldn't mind seeing him get a crack in Portland.

Yeah, figured it was a little too early to be condemning him to the pen. Hell Glasnow still walks batters at 2/1 ratio and people don't seem to think the Pirates are ready to make him an RP.

Yea I wasn't saying he was heading there immediately or anything, just feels like a guy who ends up there eventually. We'll see.

Jose De leon 7ips 1H 0BB 0er, 10ks, era down to 2.86 in the PCL.

Should be his last triple A start, for a while

Still waiting for the Padres to call up Margot and Renfroe. It's not like they have anything to lose at this point.

Jason Groome made his GCL debut yesterday, 2 IP 1H 3K's.

Also Bobby Dalbec had another HR yesterday, hes dominating the NY-Penn League and should skip Greenville next year and go right to Salem. A lot of people were saying the Sox should have brought him in as a Pitcher since he was better on the mound then he was hitting this past season for Arizona. Anyways third base is a real strength in the Sox system right now with Moncada, Devers, Chavis and Dalbec. Not as high on Chavis anymore, but hes not bad for the 4th best third baseman in the system. I also think Devers eventually goes to 1st, because 3rd is really the only place they can stick Moncada since Pedroia is signed through 2021.
