You know you did great when the only criticism your opposition can muster is that you misspoke about concrete during a speech about a Presidential election.

I said he did great until that point (which rang hollow on him being an every man). And the data analytics really rubbed me the wrong way. Major problem I have with republicans is the insulting of sciences and as per this, math. It's a dangerous and incredibly stupid attitude.

I think the key though was the idea of HIllary not being able to render a "simple opinion" without using data analytics and focus groups. You're absolutely right that raw emotion and uninformed decision making are really dangerous but I thought the implication was that HIllary is very inauthentic because she overrelies on focus group feedback not that data analytics are inherently bad.

and though the sheet rock thing was a fuck up, he sort of gave an amused look where he basically laughed off the gaffe which I thought was a good way to react to that.

Id rather be inauthentic than wrong because I ignore facts. But I get your point.
