I thought he was boring and did nothing to move the needle when it came to the electoral college because Indiana was going Trump's way anyway.

It was a position borne of ignorance. Mike Pence stood by Trump's side when the left manufactured a story about Trump dropping out of the race and stepping in as the party's candidate.

How do you protest an election though?

You know i actually was thinking about this after I made my throwaway remark about complaining on the internet. i mean that's what I've been doing all day so I'm mostly making fun of how powerless this feels. But really Katy Perry isn't about this cause, she has no need to be. I was thinking about what will happen to my beloved party now and I think really like 70 percent of it will just go back to being the kind of passive aggressive, easily offended type but stay in their shells more and not cause trouble.

it's probably obnoxious for you, and other conservative and trump supporters to see all the pain and anger and hyperbole we are spewing today but i don't think you have to worry about it lasting long. especially the twitter people. they use elections and politics as cultural capital without knowing anything about them. they are more naive than even me in that way. it's like a purse or something, an accessory to say "bigot!" or call trump a racist or whatever or to say "women's rights are human rights" but these people don't give a fuck or understand that's not how you show passion. it will fade.

My girl voted for Hillary, because she didn't want to throw away her vote. She voted in Oregon, where Hillary was guaranteed to win. A vote for third party would have made as much as a statement as a single voter could make.

This election showed that voting or not voting based on pre-election polls is not a smart thing to do. As I was watching the CNN stats and totals, at least for some states, the independent votes could have been enough to get Hillary the wins in those states if she rec'd those votes.
