what are the positives of the primary system? was the clinton and trump wins just a fluke?

Not a fluke, a failure of the voters. The primary system lets voters influence before the general election and having voters turn against the party then. If we would have the party choose the nominees Clinton would have still been the nominee on the Democratic side, and would be facing someone completely different.

I told him my address, I saw my name on the list that he was looking at, then he asked me for my id to verify my address
White husband and black wife in Chicago told a discouraging story earlier. Wife was made to show ID. Hisband was not and was offered to cut in line because he was the only white guy there and "looked busy".

I would've been... Shall I say....

Slightly perturbed...

{<hngg}

I don't think it was politically motivated but I am still trying to figure out what his motive would be. I mean wtf your not suppose to be asking for that shit.

It could have been a HUGE turn around opportunity for the GOP to bring more people to their side if they could have banded together and got a better candidate through.

Wrote myself in for Mayor and City Council. If it goes my way i'm going to be very very busy Sherdogger.

Yes, but the GOP primary voters simply did not do that. The GOP simply has a weak field this year and part of that is because of a toxic tone.

Do you think they maybe had too many candidates compared with a fractured voter base. It seems like GOP voters are either just a nudge to the right or they are full blown extreme far right. Meaning the two sides on the same ticket can't even get along?

Pretty much, they had the entire buffet of right stereotypes, and Donald just stood out more than anyone, he gets huge press, and even if realistically he only got like 10% of the eligible primary voters, that was enough to win him the nomination, especially since many GOP states are winner take all in the primary. By the time it got down to 3-4 candidates, the rules had been set, go crazy or go home.

Do you guys think much won't come in by 8? I'm considering whether or not to skip BJJ

I fully expect The Don to win the election but not accept the result citing rigged voting!
