That's sad to hear about mitch''s daughter

Mitch Kupchak has been a member of the Lakes family for well over three decades, both as a player and GM. In this time he contributed to 10 NBA championships. In Jan 2015 his daughter dies tragically at age 15. The Lakes fire him 25 months later.

he was part of a front office that ran the organization terribly, so he was let go.

Yeah I'm sure his daughter's death had nothing to do with that. There's a slim chance that basketball might not have been the first thing on his mind. But hey, 35 years, 10 championships, that's in the past. We've had a bad few years so sorry Mitch we're gonna have to unceremoniously fire you like we would fire any bum on a 10 day contract.

Classy stuff

find me a credible source that is playing on this angle, that the firing is unjust because of his daughter's death over two years ago. nobody is making an issue of this but you, because apparently nobody is as big a :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: as you

you can argue he deserved to stay on the merits of his history of basketball related decision making, in which case you would also be wrong given the years of ineptitude he and the front office have displayed dating back even prior to his daughter's death, their unwillingness for years now to get with the times, and a bevy of other factors working against him, but that's a debate you could actually have. he was not singled out, it was time for a significant change in personnel, and he represented this stagnant old guard that has shown no improvement and in ways seem to be regressing by the year. it was nothing personal and shouldn't be interpreted as such, as unfortunate as his daughter's death is, it doesn't grant him a lifetime pass

let's be honest, this idea that the firing is unethical because his daughter tragically passed away over two years ago is something that sprang to your stupid ass mind hours after the fact, when you realized you could use her death to leverage a cheap shot at a team you have an obsessive grudge against to the point where you can't be reasoned with

long story short, stfu :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Not reading all that shit

They fired him cause Jeanie needed a scapegoat. Disgusting.

Authentic Lakes fans [Lakes fandom predating 1996] are already questioning the decision to fire Kupchak and wondering aloud whether it was justified:

I'm not sure exactly why Mitch was let go, though. I think he's a good, if not great GM.

she died over two years ago. i would expect nothing less from you than to use someone's dead daughter to take a cheap shot at a team you don't like you piece of shit
Never knew the mourning process had a time limit. Stop being an inconsiderate :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:,:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Ask yourself this folks: would the late great Dr Jerry Buss [rest his soul] have stabbed Mitch in the back [and heart] like this?

I'm not sure why more lake fans arent asking why Jeannie didn't fire herself as well. She's been apart of this terrible front office and it was her idea to give Kobe that stupid contract. Bunch of white knights itt

if your daughter passed and you stopped being productive at work, how long would you expect to keep your job? there is an extra lenience you should afford someone in such a situation but it doesn't last forever, even if your suffering does. nobody gets over the loss of a child but that doesn't mean you get a lifetime pass, end of story

you can argue the decision to fire him from a basketball standpoint, and you'd still be wrong, but to claim it is unethical to fire him amidst a fourth straight disastrous season because his daughter passed two years ago is completely disingenuous and is using a legitimate misfortune to make a 'political' point, in other words it's something faust would do

Not really sure if you're qualified to discuss work place etiquette. Actually you're probably the least qualified lol

Cmon guys let's keep this a clean debate no need for personal attacks. We [Revi and I] are better than that.

it has nothing to do with workplace etiquette. the entire front office has been terribly inept for years now and the team has shown no significant improvement or promise, so they were replaced

i'm sure even your peahead can wrap around this revo

Then why wasn't Jeannie fired as well?

Honestly The One True, your personal hatred for Mitch aside, does it seem worth considering at all to you that the Lakes' recent demise just so happens to coincide with the passing of Dr Jerry Buss [rest his soul] and his children's subsequent rise to power?

Or is it more convenient to just blame Mitch

it's all been downhill since Odom fucked Khloe

Cavs collapse looms

I would have fired him the day of his daughters death. The death would have soften the blow of losing your job in comparison.
