Typical of many leftists, Jack loves calling people racists, homophobes, misogynists... and so on. He even defended what Lena Dunham did to her sister in another thread.

More accurately, I said that someone else was misinformed about what she did.

I can't speak to Jack's sympathy, but I find it odd that somebody would go to a place like stormfront to look up the meaning of SJW.

I just googled "SJW" and "Social Justice Warrior" and didn't see a link to stormfront or anything that sounded naziish for 6 pages (which is when I stopped).

They're not really brought up as legit. Basically stormfronters bring up worldstar when they want to say ******, and about a dozen people here are obsessed with the same stuff as stormfronters and are called on it.

I think the LOL thread of the year was the "is it ok to criticize black people" thread - just so many jimmies rustled - and people who took it way too seriously on both ends.

I'll give my vote of poster of the year to Like a Bas - he thinks out his opinion but is not preachy about it.

Rod1 gets under my skin the most but he at least articulates his thoughts well.

This one took me by surprise, though I guess it shouldn't have, as Anung is among the ragiest posters here (particularly when it comes to me, despite the fact that I don't respect him enough to even engage him).

Usually the awards threads get nasty much earlier actually... like the first couple of posts.

I have more positive memories of these threads, and I generally see them as having a positive purpose. A time to give a shoutout to all the good posters, along with some gentle ribbing.

Most Improved Poster has to go to LogicalInsanity imo. For a few years it was on and off again loony. He'd go several months of being level headed, even tempered, positive, and substantive. Then he'd just completely descend into lunacy lol. But this year he has kept it together the entire year and has turned into a solid, quality poster. Props my dude.

It seems like such heavy-handed propaganda (very inorganic) that I wouldn't expect it to catch on at all. But I think the people who use it were really desperate for a term like that and don't really have an alternative.

My observation is exactly the opposite. The Zimmerman killing sent the dude over the edge. Most improved is a good category, though. Can't think of who it should be right now.

Actually, he's not lying. I've seen Jack has throw around the word racist rather liberally at times, especially if it's someone he disagrees with. I can't remember the thread title, but there was one particular thread where Jack, while not directly saying it, implied that he wasn't white. It wasn't that long ago.

I know people love to get on their knees and brown their nose in the crack of Jack, but I've seen glaring holes in the armor of the intellectual giant role he poorly attempts to play. His largest fault, like many on the left, is his naivety when it comes to identity politics. He is only too willing to believe anyone who throws out the words racism, misogynists, rape culture and homophobic while failing to see their cruder intentions. He seems completely oblivious to the current role many leftists have taken in ruining Universities and Journalism.

There's no way that I care enough to track it down, but yeah you did. I believe the notion was that God wouldn't want people to feel coerced into being charitable and that their free will is more important than the lives of the less fortunate: that the only merit of charity was the intrinsic value of giving as opposed to also considering the value of the effect or service rendered.
