*** 2014 NBA Offseason Thread, v8: Clippers Loom ***

Houston offered him like 86 with no state income tax too. 14 seems low

Jabari Parker is a lot bigger than I realized and he looks NBA-ready. Kinda glad the Cavs didn't choose him.

Yeah maybe the rumored 10 or 14 seem too low but Bish really loves being here. I can see it happening but we'll never know because LeBeta is a dumbass.

Miami > Houston

Of course but that's still a lot of money to leave on the table. Especially considering bosh told Houston he was signing with them if Lebald left. He basically took full max in Miami too. Had he took 14 or so they could have added anther guy too. Probably Bledsoe who wanted to sign with you guys

He's a Canmelo clone. Not quite the first step but everything else is pretty similar

Yeah I feel like they could've got Bosh to re-sign for a little less, but at that point they didn't want to take any chances offending him or whatever and losing him. Losing both LeBeta and Bosh would do some pretty significant long-term damage to the franch imo, not just on-court but in the perception they've built around the league as a place that players want to play.

It also goes to show just how blindsided they were by LeBeta's deception. It's like they had zero discussion with Bosh about what they'd pay him if LeBeta left, so they just kinda kneejerked and threw the max at him.

That's a good comparison. He's putting on a show right now vs GS.

Bucks might be one of my must-watch teams this season

I don't disagree with the decision even though I don't think Bosh is a max player. His game will hold over time because of his range and the fact he doesn't take a beating inside. You guys will probably still be a top 4 seed in the East. People don't realize how much losing Cance is going to hurt the Pacemakers. He was pretty much the only guy who player with any sort of heart during the Miami series. The rest of the team was probably deciding whose turn it was to plow Vertical Hibbert's fiance.

Yeah, he screwed them over bad. Figured he had more respect for Riley then that.He knew he was coming home as soon as the season ended.

Really wish the Heat would've went after Lance. I would definitely take him over Dangerous Dung. I don't think they could've got him to take a 2yr deal tho.

They are going to get my views too. Especially since Kidd is running the Greek at PG

Here are all his summer league highlights. Dude has a McGrady feel to his game. i don't see the kD comparisons though

It would have made for a hell of a rivalry and Lance would have embraced it. Candler Parsons got 15 mil a year and Stephenson only 9. That's absurd

Slight Coward already badmouthing former Rockets teammates.

NBA on ESPN ‏@ESPNNBA 2m
Dwight Howard on Chandler Parsons' departure: "It won't affect us at all."

Candler ran his mouth first. To be honest, they won't miss him at all. Ariza's signing masks Hardcan's awful D

Jabari's been playing like the late great Paul Pierce. He moves too well to be a Carmelo clone.

lol @ Candler saying he was "offended" by the Rockets going after Melo and LeBeta

People these days always looking for something to be offended about smh

i don't know who invented "the late, great .." for guys who are still alive and well, but it cracks me up.

Houston solidified the 4th seed for years to come with Ariza.

i haven't been following the rockets much but do they have any kind of a bench at this point? they've lost some guys recently.
