*** 2014 NBA Offseason Thread, v8: Clippers Loom ***

i haven't been following the rockets much but do they have any kind of a bench at this point? they've lost some guys recently.

They will miss Asik for sure but that's about it. I know it's summer league but Nick Johnson played really well. I like Caanan too but I think both he and Beverly are backup PGs. Bench will still be thin like last season unless some of their guys step up. They do have an 8.5 million dollar trade exception as well as cap space but they're trying to keep it open to land Rondo or Milsap

Love how The Zen Knicks are meditating under the radar. They're easily a 50+ win team; might even grab the 1 seed.

To be the one seed in the east a team will need around 48 wins so that isn't far fetched.

They are going to get my views too. Especially since Kidd is running the Greek at PG

Here are all his summer league highlights. Dude has a McGrady feel to his game. i don't see the kD comparisons though

I'm probably the biggest Antetokounmpo fan on this board and I love seeing him run plays but running him at PG full time is a bad idea. He has 1:1 Assist-TO ratio in the summer league (maybe more TO's). He has to dribble high because of his height and that exposes the ball more to opposing guards.

It's probably just coach speak on Kidd's part. He'll shift him back to 2 or 3 when all is said and done or maybe he'll let him bring the ball up in transition where he can run in the open court.

i don't know who invented "the late, great .." for guys who are still alive and well, but it cracks me up.

Besmirched, exposed, looms, experts agree, The One True

Too many inventions

If he was still playing on the heat I'm sure either Faust or Mike Derp would have.

I think Kidd will try to make a splash after the drama surrounding his Nets departure and this is his idea. Whether it works or not is a different story. Knight and Mayo will likely handle the ball a lot too. I think he's a SF at the end of the day but it will be fun to watch him this season. Seems like a good kid all around

Cousins: 'I dislike CP a lot'

Can you blame him?

Looks like CP has done a good job getting into his head.

DMC will probably get to the conference finals before Carlton does

When are you going to get over this Lebron hangover? I can almost see the tears in your posts.

What? Not even talking about LeBeta. Was talking about how CP3 can't get past the second round lol

No...just a disgraceful flop that led to Boogie having such low respect for him he dragged Thomas away from him like he was a child.

Boogie will be the best big in the league. Nobody has his skill set. All he needs to do is find a way to keep the techs down. He wants to be a leader...once the Kings build a legit roster around him..watch out.

Boogie is in Redick's head

That will be between Griffin and the Unibrow.

Wiggins, Bennett, and Thompson for Love.

Rename the Twolves to the Minnesota Canadians.

lol...Blake Griffin my ass. He'll be out of his prime before age 30.

Griffin is the most talented big guy who isn't part of the old guard. He just needs to cut loose from the lifetime loser CP3 and get a coach who'll force him to be tougher. He was great as the #1 option last year.
