Sunderland fans probably wondering how Altidore can shine so bright in the summers, but suck so bad all season... he must be solar powered, too overcast in the UK, loll

Beasley Bradley and altidore have all been solid today. Like this starting lineup and formation a lot more than the diamond

theyre still saying he's shit on the sunderland board until he scores for club.

well some of em. most are happy that hes scoring. want him to have confidence coming into the new season

England couldn't score against Honduras.

May as well go full Browns mode and start rockin' the Adagio for Strings.

EDIT: now Moses is scoring. Mindfucked.

funniest comment over at SMB on Jozy Scoring:

"But could he do it on a wet tuesday at Stoke."

I wonder if England could beat Nigeria :D

England have played a Total of 85 different countires in internationals.

They only have a losing record against 5 countries.

of course 2 of those countries are Italy and Uruguay :icon_sad:

I wonder what that stat is over the last 20 yrs or at major competitions.

Just got home from the US vs Nigeria match. Pretty good game, and a fun fan experience. The stadium was packed, and the crowd was pretty into it. Sat about 15 rows up in one of the corners, right next to 'The Outlaws'.

Bradley works his ass off, he was by far the most consistent player on the pitch. Zusi looked great when he came on, beautiful passing and set up play. Dempsey looked a bit lazy (which is not unusual) and Altidore finally scored some goals, which is going to be a huge confidence booster going into the WC. It was definitely a good way for the US to finish the series, they are going to need all the help they can get to make it through the group stage in Brazil.

[edit] Just found out we broke the international soccer attendance record for the southeast again. 52,000+ people came to support the USMNT and/or 'Murica. We did our best to give the guys a good send-off.

Believe it or not, but England are not an easy win for any team in competitions.

apart from the 4-1 KO stage to Germany in 2010 they have been OK. its penaltues that are the problem.

recent record in competitions

Euro 2012 - only went out on penalties to Italy ( officialy classed as a Draw ) Left the competition undefeated.

WC 2010 - lost in the KO stages to Germany but only lost that 1 game

WC 2006 - got to the QF and got beat on penalties to Portugal ( again officialy a draw ) went home without losing a game.

Euro 2004 - got beat on penalties against portugal ( again officialy a draw ) lost 1 game in the groups.

WC 2002 - got to the QF and got beat by Brazil. only lost one game.

Thats 5 tournaments and only 3 actual defeats, and only Brazil and germany beat them outright in the KO stages. 3 defeats in about 25 games in the last 5 tournaments.

Like I said they are actually no slouches.

The first goal scored by US was beautiful
