Groups E, F and H i could see USA going to knockout stage.
Group A if you replace them with Croatia.
 
USA has surpassed Ghana. Portugal has one superstar, they are not that great altogether.

The way that the schedule is set is great for USA. USA is going to beat Ghana, then come in flying high and beat Portugal which is going to be coming off a hard loss to Germany, then who cares about the Germany game.

Honestly what is wrong with people? Do they hate Cristiano Ronaldo that much?
Germany vs Portugal in last Euros was close as hell and Spain needed penalties to beat Portugal in the semifinals. Not to mention Portugal beat Sweden by a large margin to get into the WC. Same team Sweden that beat France in the Euros and had a close game with England.

Okay. Doubt it though, Cameroon is not same team as they were say 7 years ago.
Croatia is a good team, a draw with Italy and losing to Spain by 1 goal is nothing to be ashamed of. That said Brazil will most likely win the group and Croatia 2nd. If Croatia manages to get a draw against Brazil then they could possibly finish first by better goal difference, wont put any myself on it though (well might bet on a draw between them because odds for Brazil are not worth putting money on it).

What does thinking US has a good chance of beating Portugal, who are going to probably get worked by Germany, have to do with liking or disliking Ronaldo. Portugal is good, but a step down from the best in the tourney. They are beatable by the US

It is really ridiculous to leave Nasri off of the squad. This is gearing up just at the right time, prepare for another french meltdown.

Actually, his presence was more fuel to the fire. Nasri is diva-esque. If he doesn't get his way, he'll do his best to fuck shit up.

The man looks great with Can City, but he bottles on his NT.

Portugal is as good as Cristiano's day. When he's on, they can challenge the world. But, he won't be 100%, they'll be under a lot of pressure after their first match with ze Germans, and if he's off, there's no one else who can pick up the slack.

United States have a shot to pull the upset, or at least a draw vs. Portugal. However, it relies a lot on the first match result. If they can't beat Ghana for the third time in a row, that'll weight heavily on the players' mind. Mental strength matters as much as physical.

Spain, Germany and Brazil are top 3 in the tournament but after that Portugal is as good as any other team. People also said that Portugal will get worked in Euros when they were in same group with Germany and Netherlands. Fast forward to semi finals and it was Portugal that was closer to reaching the final than Germany was.
