LvG gave Cleverly/Fletcher a try and it was a disaster. See no harm in him at least trying out a Fellaini/Fletcher pivot, as a temporary band aid until new signings come in.

De Gea
Blackett - Jones - Rojo
Fellaini - Fletch
Valencia - Mata - Di Maria
RvP - Roo

Andy Mitten update on MUFC:

Guy knows his stuff. He is in Spain atm.

Delighted the Di Maria deal is all but done. The guy is a hell of a player and hopefully he makes his debut at the weekend. I think he will allow our forward players the room they need to operate. At the weekend it was just awful how little space they could find for themselves because the wings and midfield were so terrible. Add Herrera into the mix and we're finally starting to gather a good collection of versatile, technically proficient players.

Vidic left mainly because of Moyes as I understand it. I honestly believe if he had waited until the summer to decide where he was going to play he would have stayed at least another year. Shame really, we could have done with him another season. He'd have looked much better in this current set up.

Regarding Fellaini, he just looks completely devoid of confidence in a United shirt. He's routinely out-muscled by smaller opponents and gets beaten so easily. He's incredibly clumsy and gives away far to many cheap fouls. He'd still be of use in those tough away games against lower table teams but I can only see him excelling here in a very disciplined role that would take a lot of time for him to grow into. I'm not sure he is technically good enough to be a part of a Van Gaal system. He likes intelligent players after all and so far Fellaini hasn't shown he's up to it.

Vidal would be a great get. Load the contract with incentives and we're cooking. That potential

Definitely need direct players with acceleration to draw attention from your Mata's and Rooney's. One reason it'd be baffling if Welbeck was sold. LvG needs to get Valencia in form too for this reason. dem attacking runs from Vidal would help out too

Wouldn't really surprise me if that Cuadrado interest sparks up again this week

Can't think of many players maybe under 10 who have played for both real and united

Trash music, but good HL video of di Maria.

Just watching that, first thing is that Di Maria is so agile with the ball at this feet, probably the best in the world at that.

World class player.

The only ones I can think of are Ruud, Becks, Heinze, Owen, and Ronaldo.
