Is that an I'm Alan Partidge reference?

mushy peas > pease pudding

Only the north east could look at mushy peas and think it's too posh of a dish and want to peasant it up a bit more.

Yeah its a North east thing LOL. Its actually a little different from mushy peas.

its yellow split peas and they are cooked in a bacon or ham stock until its almost like a spread. ( bacon and ham give it a nice meaty salty taste ) usually has a couple more spices added ( nutmeg or cinamon )

its more commonly used to make Savaloy dips.

which is a bun with pease pudding spread on one side and sometimes sage stuffing on the other. then a savaloy sausage dipped in gravy in the middle.

I've been here 5 years but i just cant get behind pease pudding. That shit is gross.

Best North-East delicacies (using that word lightly) are Parmos and Panackelty (aka Pan Haggerty). Also as bread goes stotties are pretty good bang for your buck, but i usually prefer a standard cob.

lol, cute story.

Would be scary if true, Costa at Chelsea seems like he would be the missing piece of the puzzle.

Lukaku and Costa up front, heck, Costa on his own with Lukaku as back up would be deadly. His style seems perfect for the premier league, too

Was just about to post this. Apparently the former or current (not sure which) Everton youth coach said Moyes had little interest in the youth team. I don't really know the validity of it all and when this sort of stuff happens all sorts of stories appear.

It does appear though that Moyes was in over his head and tried to take on too much. There was a reason Fergie delegated in his later years. His problems started by getting rid of the coaching staff and just snowballed from there.

His problems started from not getting rid of Wobblygob & Giggs straight off the bat.

Was it player power that got the Portuguese cobbler sacked at Spurs?

klopp not out of it yet I guess
Klopp on #MUFC rumours: "Everything has been said, very few of it actually by me, but put as if I had said it." (via @Sky_StephanS)

More Klopp: "..to reject something when there is no enquiry, it is rather embarrassing for me as a human being." (via @Sky_StephanS)

More Klopp: "I really like United, but I am still very very happy here, as there are about 1,000 reasons why you can work here really well."

# KloppOn !

Can't knock Fergie for winning Utd the Title last year as it was a great achievement but lets call a spade a spade. He was up against two big Clubs who were in complete disarray, in the midst of a huge transitional phase in management.

City had neutered Mancini and he was all but cashing his final year in, knowing full well he was done there. Chelsea plugged Benitez in as a stop gap until Mou arrived.

Not advancing from the group phase in the previous years CL that included Benfica, Basel & Otelul Galati put the writing on the wall. Losing to powerhouse Real Madrid in the last 16 of the CL in the following year may have masked how weak Utd's squad were a little.

Utd's squad is relatively weak and the young players(Welbeck, Jones, Cleverly, Chicharito) Fergie was easing in aren't up to snuff. Add to this the few senior players who need shipping out.

The trump card Utd always held over their rivals was consistent Management. That's now gone.

Interesting times.

I'd take Moyes at Spurs. He's still a good manager and he'd probably do a decent job with us.

Yeah, because Moyes getting rid of the most successful player ever would have been a masterstroke.

Fans would have been pissed right off the bat, instead of a month later.

His failure in not getting Giggs on his side is a legitimate criticism, tbf.

Fergie managed to do so with Robson & McGrath and that was key to buying him more time.
