Just food for thought, but with the coverage and the sky programmes and everything else going on around Man utd.

It really does show how much bigger a club man utd are than the other teams around them, sorry if this upsets fans of the other big clubs but it would never be a s big a story if it involved them.

Thats coming from a Sunderland fan, so no bias. only a select few clubs in the world can create this sort of media frenzy.

It has actually surprised me TBH.

If Danger Mouse becomes new Spurs manager, that would be funny!

This is crazy:

Martyn Ziegler ‏@martynziegler 2h
Man Utd shares close more than $1 up after Moyes sacking at $18.78 - total value of club has risen by around

Poor Moyes is gonna be a long standing punchline.

Now he'll need to revenge fuck Can U with another team to get some street cred.

Hu-Moye-liated.

I don't think you could say that Moyes inherited a bad squad, I mean this is the squad that won the Premier League last season. If you looked at it man to man and compared players, you'd definitely say that United first XI are better than at least a couple teams that are placed above them, especially in the attacking areas (Rooney, RVP, Valencia, Mata).

They've been decent away from home, a poor team never has one of the best away records in the league, that just doesn't happen. When you look at the fact that United have only won 1 game against the top 6 this league, that is what is really shocking. Especially the losses to Liverpool and Manchester City, United looked like a relegation zone team in those matches.

United are a mess, the players are not performing. Sacking Moyes and hiring someone else is not a quick fix, good tactics can only take you so far if your players wont play. It's gonna take a really managerial genius to come in and fix this.

I beg to differ.

This is one of the weakest, if not weakest Utd squads i've ever seen in my lifetime. Don't be fooled by what SAF achieved with that squad, that's just a testament to what a great manager SAF was.

May be he should've got more time but this is Utd we are talking about, that doesn't work with the big boys. Moyes a d level manager and nothing more, he was way out of his depth and it wouldn't have made a difference if he was there for another season imo.

I knew someone would post something like this.

Man Utd are the current champions and their fall from grace simce Fergie left has been so dramatic, that of course people are gonna talk about it.

But, don't worry, a few more seasons of finishing 7th and no-one will give a s**t.

Terry and Cech out for rest of season. With Terry gone, I can't see Chelsea being able ti deal with SAS this weekend.

The title seems destined for Liverpool.

Yeah, you knew it would be posted because lets be honest here, its the truth.

in terms of global stature there are a few elite clubs and man utd are one of them.

I have no preference either way, but seeing as you are a gunner who has an irrational hatred for man utd as proven by numerous posts in the past, its no real surprise to see you getting your panties in a twist over someone saying so.

yeh, whatever. It just sounds like you're trying to salvage something from the wreckage, you're stuck in 7th, just sacked your manager, no-one wants to play for you, but "oh, people are talking about us, therefore we are still so much bigger and better than everyone else!! blah blah blah".

So funny, do you even pay attention to what people post. whats this " you " business.

I am A sunderland Fan, love the way you have to try and pass it off as a man utd fan saying that.

You have just tried to use an argument that has no validity, and it has blown up in your face. You put all your eggs in one basket with the assumption that I was somehow a Man utd fan trying to justify something. you no longer have that crutch to help you.

interesting to see what argument you will now use, as any change now will make you look like you are backtracking and look a bit silly.

Whatever you say, I'm arguing the point, don't really care what team you claim to support. It's neither nor there.

You can wave a Sunderland t-shirt around all you like, but all of your posts suggest otherwise.

All of my posts suggest otherwise, I dare say many posters on here will happily point out that I have well and truly made my support of sunderland well known.

As for not mattering what team I support, well considering your own counter argument was well and truly based on your assumption of me being a manutd fan I think it does matter.

You say you don't care as well, if that is the case then why have you started another argument saying you do not believe I am a Sunderland fan, if you don't care then why do you so obviously have an issue with it.

Its really quite simple, you based an argument on an assumption that was wrong, instead of arguing it would be nbetter for you just to admit you got it wrong.

I'm sticking to the point and dgaf what team you claim to support.

you are meandering ... good luck with that.

Be still, my beating heart....

via United's Facebook page:

Ryan Giggs has been joined by a familiar face at the Aon Training Complex this morning, as Paul Scholes returned to help the first team prepare for Norwich. Are you looking forward to Saturday’s game?

What point are you sticking to. All I see is assumptions and mistakes.

the point I was arguing was that I knew someone on here would use the latest news coverage of Man Utd's manager crisis to make grandiose claims that "only a team as big, and "elite" as Man Utd could warrant such media attention" ... "Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City are all still minnows compared to the almighty Man Utd, this media coverage is proof!!" blah blah blah ...

Lo and behold, you obliged, so I commented ... end of.
