silverback. I think the comparison would be like Jon Jones vs the highschool freshmen team. Even with numbers advantage, JJ would be able to take out the team systematically one by one, and too resilient to take any damage from a blow from the team.
 
You need enough people to weigh the gorilla down by jumping on top of him. Then a handful of guys can stomp on the gorilla's head.

The gorilla would eventually succumb to the combination of starvation, dehydration, head stomps, and crushing weight on his internal organs.
 
If I was a mod I would dub and ban like a gorilla charging through 12 strongmen in threads like this.
Anyone who has a serious answer to this.

Aside from like somehow getting lucky and using their bite force in the most opportunistic way possible, 5 yos don't really possess a level of strength that could do fatal damage to a grown adult. A strongman is capable of gouging out a gorilla's eyes or cramming fingers into a gorilla's ears/nose or putting his fist down a gorilla's throat, etc. 5 yos would also be looking up to a towering grown adult and be unable to even reach the adult's head while standing whereas a strongman would likely stand even with a gorilla

What don't you understand people, they have to survive attacks from other silverbacks, humans cannot hurt them in hand to hand. Have you seen a gorilla skull? You would break whatever you hit that skull with before stunning it (which makes sense as, again, it needs to soak up hits from another male gorilla).

A silverbacks entire schtick is it's too much of a badass to fuck with. Why does it have fangs then? To fight other males. If it could be overwhelmed by 12 unarmed humans then evolution really fucked up didn't it (as silverbacks are alphas whose job it is to deal with threats to his harem). I mean chimps band together into gangs and they even don't fuck with a silverback (a vicious chimp gang of numerous male chimps). If all it took was 12 unarmed men to kill a gorilla then humans wouldn't have needed to bother inventing weaponry (as a tribe of humans could simply beat up prey, seeing as top of the food chain gorillas apparently can be taken).

Dunno about 12 strongmen but 6 gsp's could probably decision it

I don't think so. They aren't intelligent enough to do that. There would likely be times where it would just continue to maul someone on the ground while other guys are taking shots at it. It would be much to confused and enraged to do anything systematically.

Anytime one of your strengths is eating faces im picking you in a fight. Gorillas are fucking beasts, and strongmen would gas after 30 seconds dudes got no stamina. Gorilla fights all day and eats faces for the victory.
