Seriously. Eamon didn't roid but he was obsessed with lifting before I met him and the photos of him were gross to me. For a 5ft 9er he was almost as wide as he was tall.

Can someone point me to the actual paper? Because right now it looks like they surveyed 160 college age women and they don't give a clear definition of "strong" or what a strong body type looks like. I'm pretty confident if we showed them a picture of a Brad Pitt Fight Club-like physique and compared that to a World Strongest Man competitor type physique they would not prefer the "strong" body type. If the choice is Brad Pitt vs some pale flabby PhD candidate then sure they will go for the "strong" physique.

But body type is just a minor element to female attraction. Women are less oriented towards body type than men. They are vastly more oriented towards status and competence. If you appear to have access to scarce resources and if you appear to have the approval of other women then those things go miles beyond a chiseled physique.
