Why don't fighters try tickling in MMA?

Me and my buddy were practicing jiu-jitsu and he started tickling me, I had him mounted. I turned and punched him in the nuts. I didn't mean to hit him as hard as I did.
He never forgave me for that.
Every time I bring it up, he gets pissed off. That was probably ten years ago.
Brings a smile to my face thinking about it.
