Rogan has zero votes lol
No disrespect to the fighters, but they really are secondary when it comes to the UFC's success. Without somebody putting up the money and promoting it, there would be no venue for them to even compete and you would be stuck with backyard brawl youtube videos. The fighters, because without them there's literally nothing.
saying the ferttittas deserve credit for ufc’s success is almost like saying the bank deserves credit for making a business loan. it’s not exactly like that, because they actually owned the business, but it’s pretty close. lorenzo even admits it wouldn’t have been what it became without dana. he seems to think dana’s pretty special. The question wasn’t about giving anyone “all” of the credit; it was who deserves the “most” credit. The Fertitis played a pivotal role, but without Dana it wouldn’t have reached the level of success that it has. The Fertitas haven’t been involved with the UFC in several years and it’s more than doubled in value in that time.
Everyone said the Fertitas screwed WME with the 4 billion evaluation, and now it’s estimated at 9-10 billion.
You really think Dana is the reason it went from 4 to 9-10 billion?
I'd say Fertittas deserve the most credit for financially backing the organization. Without them, there is no Dana.

Because they aren't the fertittas? Do the owners of Viacom know anything about combat sports or do they just have a bunch of money? If financial backing is the biggest key to success, why have so many others failed? Viacom was a huge financial backer.
Dana isn't the only reason it went from 4 to 9-10 billion, but it made that jump without the Fertitas.

You think the ufc will collapse without Dana? I bet nothing changes the moment Dana leaves. The big train keeps on moving just fine.
The Fertitta brothers had money before buying the UFC from owning casinos in NJ. They bought it for a song because the company was basically worthless at the time. Mma was only sanctioned in one or two states and they were holding events in very small venues. They along with Dana saw the potential and took a chance on it. They got the unified rules implemented and sanctioned in all 50 states, built this thing into the juggernaut that it is today. That being said, TUF 1 was basically a Hail Mary pass that worked. They might well have been out of business if that had failed, so the fighters and coaches from that show also deserve a lot of credit especially Griffin and Bonnar.Dana and the Fertitta bros wouldn't have anything to invest in without the fighters carrying their rich asses on their backs.

Also, if the fighters were the reason for the success, then the many organizations that have failed in the past would have been successful and still operating today. They failed because of poor leadership/management. Conversely, the UFC is successful because of good leadership/management.
But sir fighters wouldnt had a place to fight either without Fertitta' s spending somewhere around 40 million so shrugs
I'd say the Gracies. They had their Gracie Challenge & then started UFC. Dana & Fertitas wouldn't have been able to build the company if Graices hadn't started it up.If you had to pick someone who would it be?
Dana White?
Fertitta brothers?
The Gracie family?
Feel free to suggest some names.
Yeah you're right.
Fighters really are secondary when it comes to the success of a fighting organization...smh
That’s like saying soda is the reason that Pepsi is successful.
