What if PRIME Shogun vs jon Jones???

If Shogun did anything but get his ass whooped in a completely and utterly disrespectful way he might have a shot, but unfortunately we all know what happened. I don't even watch that fight because it's so one sided it's not even enjoyable. Feel sorry for Shogun tho, people say he tapped but forget how much heart he showed with the beating he took prior. Most people would have quit much sooner.
 
Jones would suffer with the lack of elbows in PRIDE rules, but he’d find other ways to beat anybody down.
 
JOnes is better everywhere. Pride steroid shogun wouldn’t have much success either.

Jon Joens wasn't even in his prime when he beat Shogun. Some of you pride fans are straight delusional.
 
you Shogun fans were saying how great Shogun look after he defeated Machida. Now, hes supposely past his prime after he got raped by Jon Jones. He was only 29 years old when he beat Jon Jones too, then you got idiotic fans saying he deserve to fight for the title shot. lol

Personally, I never rooted for Chuteboxe back in the days.

He looked good technically versus Machida but he blew his knee out again when he KO'ed Machida. He fought Jones right after having 3 knee surgeries in 3 years. That is not prime Shogun. Prime Shogun was 2005 before all his injuries, when he wasn't hesitant to use his kicks and knees.

He also just came off 3 knee operations in 3 years right before he fought Jones. That was a slow, broken down, less explosive version that Jones fought

He didn't kick because of Jon Jones wrestling and Jon Jones is better than him in the clinch, hence was he wasn't able to knee.

I swear pride fans are like flat earther, straight up delusional.

Before that it would’ve taken jones 5 minutes more to destroy him.

Sounds like you are the delusional one, thinking Shogun was still in his prime after 3 knee surgeries in 3 years? The time that puts you out, the rehab, building back up strength, just trying to get back to where you were before the injury...

And having a bad knee affects more than just kicks and knees, that was just one example. It also affects his movement, takedown defense, power, everything. That was not prime Shogun.

You keep talking shit about PRIDE just exposes yourself as a new fan because PRIDE was the #1 MMA org in the world. The UFC was the minor league back then
