In any case, he touches on Oedipus, but he also argues that these radical ideologies are a window to matriarchal societies, citing that there is a thing as too much empathy, and that a mother's maternal instincts are often irrational by design in that they don't discriminate between actual enemies and perceived enemies when she feels her offspring are in danger.
