Those of you I said were dumb if you think Conor will return to boxing

Lol. Oscar is such a fucking clown. Aaaaaaall that shit he talked about May/Mac, and now that his boy got a gift draw instead of taking an obvious loss against Golovkin, he's talking to Conor. I really hope that's not a real story.

1) Conor will get hurt.
2) Shame on anybody on either side for even entertaining the idea of it. Floyd isn't a puncher. Canelo can crack. Bad idea all around.

Again, I really hope this is not real, and someone is just trying to talk it into existence. Come to think of it, Golovkin and Canelo's people are already talking about a rematch in May. The Conor thing has to be fake.
It's very fake

Apparently I owe you an apology.

Its been verified Conors people are in talks with Canelos people...

Conor apparently feels there is no big money fight for him in the UFC and he must strike while the iron is hot.

SO...that all being said....I think Conor feels like he became the star he wanted to become, as large as he could in the MMA world. Now I kind of see his point that where does one who achieved such greatness go from there. Where the money is and that is boxing. So it makes sense. It is of course outrageous to the typical fan. In the end its about making the most money for your family. UFC doesnt offer such.

For the record. Canelo will finish McGregor in the 2nd round face plant KO
yea ok

Floyd fight was a great idea. This one isn't

Oh God, I so hope he is delusional enough to think he can take on a boxer his size. If he signed to fight someone like Badou Jack, I would shit my pants.

It's gonna be hard getting another boxing bout with an 0-2 record!

Will he need to at that point? Let's say he just does 2.5 million PPV buys, he's probably looking at another 40-50 mil.

The only thing he has to worry about is consumer apathy.

I would've thought that the idea of this happening would be ridiculous, but today I read on several different sites that McGregor may be addressing the United States congress about fighters rights, particularly about extending the Ali act to cover MMA fighters as well as boxers. This indicates to me that he wants to have another high profile boxing match, but this time without the UFC getting a piece of his payout.

Lmfao he'd never fight canelo. Canelo would permanently retire him & quite possibly kill him in the ring. I hope the ref is paid to stop it before mctap gets murdered again, although it won't last anywhere near as long with canelo swinging the hammer. It will never happen but in hypothetical fantasy land it's an easy win for canelo by KTFO COMA 1 second into rd1

Id say there is less than a 1% chance that he fights Canelo

A 40 year old soft hitting Mayweather is 1 thing, a 28 year old destroyer built like a bull and who hits like one is another

Highly highly doubt he tries this

I could go back months, to before Conor and Floyd was actually a thing, and I said then that if Conor fought Floyd, he would never step foot in the Octagon again, and was ridiculed for it. I also said, given that scenario, that it was doubtful Conor ever fights again. He isn't going to make those $75mil checks in the UFC, and once he got a taste of that he would never return to fight for $3mil, but the UFC will never release him from his contract, and thus we have a stalemate.

However, if the money is right, for the UFC, ala Floyd, then they might allow him to spread his wings again. But, no matter what happens we will never see Conor in the Octagon again. Something for which I am thankful for. I just wish they would strip him already, and stop with all the interim bullshit. The UFC did this to themselves. Once Conor was under contract, they allowed him to continually dictate who he would fight, where, and for how much. He was the only guy who is more skilled at ducking guys who are fully capable, and deserving, of taking his belt than Bisping. Not sure what happened, but when the Ferrtitas owned it, they never allowed the fighters to run the show, but ever since the sale...well we all see what has happened. The UFC is quickly becoming the laughing stock of professional sports, and is slowly stepping into WWF territory, not to be taken seriously. All of Conor's antics has lead to every guy who wins a belt to automatically start calling out "money fights", and doing everything they can to duck and hide from the guys who have actually earned shots at those belts.

We can all sing our praises that Conor vs Eddie was the last we will ever see of him in a cage, unless he suddenly pulls a Jones and gets locked up for something, but I just don't see him being that stupid.

Please no. Conor is going to be put in the hospital by Canelo. Real talk. This cannot be sanctioned. If this is sanctioned, the NSAC are straight up criminals. There's no other way about it.

That’s crazy because he would probably make the same defending his belt than a fight with canelo. I remember reading somewhere GGG had a guaranteed $3mil purse.

Gee, $100 million PPV fight or $20 million in the UFC?

LoL... Conor is milking this shit smartly. I'm just surprised he doesn't fight a few cans first. No idea why he would EVER return to the UFC unless it was against Brock Lesnar in a special rules match where GSP is the referee and rounds are 2 minutes and Conor gets to tag team with Mighty Mouse and Ric Flair.

You shouldn't believe everything you hear in the media.

What is this!! An apology on Sherdog!!

Somebody ban this fool

I want to see Conor vs Edmond-Sama for no apparent reason...

Canelo wants no part of GGG again, not to mention it would sell 10x less than what ConMcCan would.
