The Insane Efforts By Police At Standing Rock North Dakota

unbelievable. It's gonna cost so much money to clean this up, not that it hasn't cost a fortune to deal with them already
The running total is over $40m so far. I've read that the State is looking into going after the Corps because the camps were on their land and they refused to evict them. I have no clue how any of that works.
There was millions that flowed into that camp yet people still froze to death on Standing Rock this winter because they couldn't afford propane. The Tribe usually subsidized it's members from casino money but their revenues are way down and they couldn't afford those programs anymore. It wasn't even a bad winter, we've only really had 2 months.
One lady, Ladonna Allard, raised over $3m dollars from crowdfunding. Not a single penny went back into the tribe and she's a member. She collected unemployment during this as well. And surprise, she refuses to show where the money went to.

I'm seeing on social media that 2 people got burned and had to be taken to the hospital via ambulance, nothing confirmed yet. Hopefully it isn't true.

They're burning vehicles also

Hmmm. Let me take a big fat guess what they used as an accelerant...

There was so much irony from the protesters that it wasn't even funny.
They should have stepped in sooner then they did. It would have been much easier to clean up when everything was still frozen, now it's a huge mud hole. Over 500 loads of garbage have been hauled out and they're not even close to done.

Hypothermia can be lethal in less time than it would take to drive home. What if their car had no heat?

I don't think you quite understand how dangerous it is to be wet and in the middle of nowhere in even 50 degree weather.
People get hypothermia surfing when it is 75 degrees out here in California water is cold AF.

I'm seeing reports of the BIA closing another camp today, nothing confirmed yet. It was a new one called 7th gen that was established after the first 2 were closed

Someone compiled a bunch of threats that people made towards Morton County on social media, 41 pages.
It's pretty scary considering there was people doxing officers, releasing their info, then urging people to go to their homes and harass their families.
There's names, comments, and links provided for the threats in the doc

A protesters body was pulled out of the river yesterday.
Damjan Nedelkovski, 35, of Glendale, California was found by a local fisherman around 11:30am on April 9. The Morton County Sheriff’s Department found a Republic of Macedonia identification card on his person, and family within the United States and Eastern Europe have been contacted. The autopsy showed there was no trauma to the body to suspect any foul play. The cause of death is still pending, and authorities are unsure how long the body was in the river.

Family and friends report that their last contact with Nedelkovski was on October 29, 2016. His stepbrother filed a missing person report with the Glendale Police Department on November 16, 2016. Nedelkovski was known to be at the protest camps.
