He is really good it's just that he will never get his wrestling/grappling at the level where he can compete with the elite of the elite.

He is still as good as he always was. Incredible left hand counters, solid overall boxing and apparently quite good defensive grappling. I think he'll be top 5 if he sticks around.

Anywho...Conor ain't nearly half as "great" as his fanboys and the media (esp. UFC hype machine) makes him to be. HOWEVER, he is a very good fighter (striker). If he fought the top guys consistently, he would lose a lot. If he had to fight his way up the ladder at FW and LW, he likely would never have won either belts.

He's a great fighter, dont get me wrong but not GOAT material.

He has great timing, accuracy and power with his boxing. So he can put you to sleep easy but he has never defended a belt.

Conor is top three all time at FW but no one special at LW.

IMO he was somewhat "off" in the Khabib fight (ring rust or nervous or whatever) ... clearly lost but not dramatically, sustained little damage compared to other Khabib opponents and actually won a round too.

Before he dominated most opponents, including unquestionable champions, except for Nate who is a durability freak as well as bigger.

So I think he is actually much better than all the haters-fuelled critique suggests ... I would say top 1 at 145, top 3 at 155, top 5 at 170.

I actually might favour him in a Khabib rematch if he has the same hunger for "redemption" as in the past.
