I think he meant standing.

Fedor won the first round against Big Foot (the standing round) and knocked down Hendo standing. So realistically, Fedor has never been outstruck standing.

Why are you saying Cain is more athletic? Fedors biggest asset was always the fact that he was ten times better athlete than his opponents. Faster, stronger and more explosive. Cain brings textbook technique and great pace. Just becouse Cain is in the UFC doesnt mean he is better athlete.

Fedor was getting the better of the exchanges on the feet. In both fights, just look at BF swinging almost every punch at Fedor's chest while Fedor connects with almost every punch to the dome.

Depends whose night it is. Both have skills to beat the other. It's all speculation. Both were great champions. Cain has great speed cardio power and striking and ability to smother. Fedor's downfall was his ability to get smothered, but he was a genius fighter that Cain is not. It's hard to say. Cain seems invincible though.

In a cage I think Cain wins with good chance against Strikeforce era Fedor -- from Fedor's fights there it's clear he didn't really train with the cage in mind as much as he should've. Pretty sure Fedor could get out from under Cain if taken down and beats him standing easily.

The funny thing is if you watch Big Foot go into the 3rd round he was already tired and depleted having not a chance in finishing Fedor.

Fedor in the 3rd round was up and running like a man and ready to go. Doctor stopped a potentially good comeback from taking place that night.

Big Foot isn't scared to stand and bang with Overeem but shit his pants when face to face with Fedor. He would lose in a rematch.
