yes, the greatest in your own world lol. Khabib would kill this man. Tony is very good. But khabib is a person out of this world. Rarely do we get a person with both remarkably gifted DNA and proper training background. Khabib is simply designed for mma. He knows nothing beyond fighting. He is more of a lethal weapon than a human. If you count the hours that khabib practices, I am sure it outweigh the time that he spent with his friends.

BJ Penn, Frankie Edgar and arguably Benson Henderson.

None of them are undefeated but they faced better competition (for their time) and have more impressive title defenses.

He got dropped, that's it. You don't get "hurt badly" and do the kinda stuff he does to the other guy. That happened vs Pettis and Lando if we're being realistic. Also, Tony's been hit way harder before than with Khabib's pillowfists.

You have to go back and look at their records befor they lost the title. BJ, Frankie and Benson were all legit linear champs that were defending the title against the best guys at the time. Khabib won the title against a guy that wasn't champ and defended the title once against Conor who arguably wasn't the biggest threat at the time. It doesn't matter who Khabib fought befor he won the belt. You become GOAT AFTER you become champ and beat all the top contenders. Khabib isn't even close.

By your logic Ben Askren can come in and beat Lawler then fight any random fighter for a belt and be GOAT.

I agree that Khabib beats them all. You aren't GOAT just because a bunch of fans think you are. It comes from your hard work and cleaning out a division as the champion. Khabib needs to beat Tony and one or maybe two more guys. He's close but not there yet.

No one has ever cleaned LW that's the thing. No one has had a real dominant run as champion like a Silva or a Aldo or a St Pierre.

Did you watch MMA during BJ Penn's run? He was considered unbeatable and one of the best P4P fighters ever. People were stunned that Edgar even stood a chance against him, no one was even asking for that fight. His only loss was Pulver and some WW fights.

A lot of that was because of what he did at other weight classes, when you look at the numbers, he has fought very few times at LW and had barely fought at LW when he fought Edgar the first time. True he doesnt look as good on paper as GSP, Aldo or Silva... not even close. At the time though his aura of invincibility was just as strong. Benson looks a lot better on paper but his reign just didn't have that same feeling. Khabib definitely has that same invincible attribute that BJ had, his only problem is he has only defended the title once and it wasn't against Tony. BJ really did clean out the division for a while, even if I was much weaker at the time.

Its kinda sad because if Benson could have defended his title and beat Pettis (his only loss at the time) he would clearly be the LW GOAT imo. A bunch of losses after you are already the established GOAT doesn't really hurt you. Look at Aldo, Fedor and Anderson. Clearly all still GOATs.

The way Khabib is acting towards the NSAC I think that's exactly what is happening.

He's already the most popular muslim on earth his stock can only lower.
