If Chris gets handled another brutal loss, should he move up or call it quits?

Guy was 13-0 in his MMA career before USADA severely messed up his weight cutting abilities. He looks like death at weight ins ( which is not something new, we have seen other fights look like that as well), and looks smaller in the octagon on fight night.

Now he is on a 3 fight losing streak (all more or less brutal losses), which again nothing new fighters have bounced back from similar records, but do you think he can?

I for one would like to see him move up if he loses, he is clearly done with the middleweight division if he looses to Weedstelum.

should move to another org. all belts are on a halt in the ufc

Yes, he should go to LHW, they can use the talent

Tough call. He's definitely not been given the easiest fights out there, actually quite the opposite. Maybe what he needs is to not fight a top contender right away?

Regardless he takes the belt back from Bisping & looking back in hindsight Bisping & Weidman will have controlled the 185 division for the better part of a decade.

Probably a good idea to move up no matter the type of loss.

Hendricks lost 3 in a row and moved up to beat Lombard.

Lawler lost 5 or 9 fights and moved weights to become a champion.

So sometimes a fresh start is a good thing.

Remember when Weidman said he'd fight Jones in a super fight... Good times.

Yeah I would say he beats the shit out of Bisping right now.

Lets be honest. Chris vs. Anderson 1 and 2 were very flukey. He will get picked apart by Kelvin (who really should be a 170er)

Chris is a basic, mid tier guy at 185

Move up so he can get destroyed even quicker

Lol
Bravo

He should be cut
An overrated fraud who fought faded legends and couldn't hang with fighters actually in their prime

He's got the skills to compete, but the dude gasses and gets real sloppy. He should go to whatever weight suits him best for cardio. If you look at his 3 losses, all due to mistakes after being exhausted.

Make him move up to LHW and have him fight Jon Jones...
Why Jones? Well, when Weidman beat Silva, his fans were saying he will dominate and beat Jones... Well give him to Jones and let us find out (actually, let his fans find out because everyone else knows the outcome)

The Kelvin fight should definitely show us where he stands.
And yes, Kelvin won't be easy; his cardio could be a nightmare for Weidman.

Agreed. chris was done vs andy before the fluke. the second was a broken leg against scared andy. both flukey and now exposed. and im a fan.

Glad to know you have it all figured out.

Two wins over Anderson Silva back to back, while he was on top are NOT a fluke. Anderson played around doing those antics for years, while many were hypnotized by it and payed the price..... Wiedman countered, took advantage and dropped the Champ. That is NOT a FLUKE!! The second time was a perfectly times checked kick. It did what it's supposed to do. Hurt your opponent more than you ( when done correctly), even break their leg. Not the first time a checked kick has stopped a fight via leg breakage. Also not an easy thing to do properly. Guess the entire training camp of Chris practising checking kicks over and over had nothing to do with his fluke victory?

As far as calling Wiedman a mid level fighter. What a joke. Undefeated to become Champ. Loses to Rockhold, an excellent fighter himself. Then Chris was winning the fight against Yoel, who is a beast!!! Before he got caught. Now Yoel is fighting for the interm belt but should be fighting for the real belt but the current Champion is running away from him. As far as the last fight ,there has been some controversy over that one... but let's face it any fighter after losing the title then getting viciously KO'd in his next fight should be given a lower ranked fighter. Somewhere around top 10. The mental game is important and fighting any top 5 guys after a couple of losses is too much for anyone.

The top five guys at MW right now are killers any one on any day can win the belt. To say Wiedman is Mid Tier just shows you don't know what the hell you are talking about. Put him against any mid Tier MW, he destroys them.

If Chris loses to a guy as small as kelvin I'm not entirely sure going to light heavyweight is the best idea.

Hendricks moved up and beat a small welter weight in Lombard who just happened to be fighting at 185. Let's see how he does against a real mw first .

You're discussing the past. Chris has clearly regressed and took serious, career damaging punishment his past 3 fights.

Yes, he's still great but the 2017 Chris is nowhere near the 2013 Chris.
