Greatest sequels of all time according to Cinefix

13 MINUTE VIDEO, EH?

That is not a good list. I mean, seriously, those are their TOP 5 sequels of all time?

Probably the only one I might even agree with is Godfather II.

But T2 should definitely be on their. Indy and The Last Crusade would make my list as well.

Aliens should probably be on there. Even though I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, Empire Strikes Back has to at least be in contention.

Are we counting Casino Royale as a sequel? If so, I'd be looking hard at that one. The Dark Knight needs to at least be considered.

Tron: Legacy just might make my personal Top 5 as well. Definitely Top 10.

I don't have 13 minutes to spare. Is Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans on there or not?

Haven't watched the video yet, but Cinefix loves that movie, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Thanks

I probably should have thought ahead

The hope of course is that people won't be lazy and will actually watch the video.

Split
Creed
Two Towers
Logan

WTF are these movies on the list for

I have no idea. Split was cool, but it's nowhere near one of the best sequels of all time. Creed was good, but it's not even the best Rocky sequel.

Two Towers is good but not great. Logan I didn't even get all the way through.

I agreed with the first three choices, but Creed and Split shouldn't be on the list.

iirc, the sequel to the movie Manhunter, a little movie called The Silence of the Lambs, is a pretty damned good sequel...

But how could one deny Logan. The millennials at Cinefix know there shit.

I hate that video so much that I clicked on the link that takes me to youtube, logged into my google account, gave the video a thumbs down. And then scrolled through all the comments, giving a thumbs up to everyone that criticized it, and a thumbs down to everyone that praised it. Seriously. I did all of that.

First off, the selections were moronic.

Secondly, the omissions were next-level stupid.

Third, the video is 13 minutes long. Yep, 13 minutes to share a top 5 list. You can really tell that youtube pays by the minute now instead of by the click.

Fourth, they take FOREVER to get to the point. Seriously, in between each selection they take 3 minutes to talk about all the movies they didn't select.

Fifth, they spoil something about one of the movies. And it's one I haven't seen yet. I won't say what, but please don't watch the video if you care about spoilers.

Next to the subscribe button, they should add another button, that says "ban from youtube for life" I would hit that button.

Godfather 2
Young Guns 2
Tron Legacy

Those three are the sequels that stick out in my mind.

I love the fact they take the time to put their choices in context.

The internet is flooded with lists that are short and to the point, it's nice to have some with some reflection.

I get that “Best of” lists are pretty subjective in nature and are typically polarizing, but this list seemed particularly bad.
