Some quick facts about Germany:
- In 2021, Germand had a homicide rate of 0.82, which is eight times lower than the US which had a rate of 6.81, three times lower than Canada and on par with other Nothern European countries.
- While non-german citizens are slightly overrepresented in the crime statistics as a whole even after adjusting for confounders, Syrians, Afghans and Iraqis are actually underrepresented in the crime statistics.
- While crime did increase in 2016, a majority of that increase was refugees breaking the so called 'immigration/foreigners law' of illegal entry that can only be committed by migrants, and asylum seekers getting into fights. Crime has been trending down since 2017 despite the influx:

Now, as with Sweden, there is no denying that mass immigration of many young people with a lower socioeconomic status from countries with different cultures has brought challenges. I'm not even commenting on whether or not Germans should continue to tighten their immigration laws. However, as with Sweden, the fantasy of a country being torn to shreads is just that, a fantasy. Germany is one of the safest and most robust countries in the world, far safer than the US even if we compare immigrants as a subgroup. The fear mongering doesn't align with reality.
