When Diaz beat McGregor here are some things that were said about McGregor, basically bashing him.

1) "Oh you're a wrestler now" "Panic Wrestler"
2) "Overrated boxing, got thoroughly outboxed by Nate."
3) "Glass chin"

Yet I haven't seen a single one of these things said about Nate even though:

1) Way more attempted and failed takedowns than McGregor.
2) Was THOROUGHLY beaten in the boxing exchanges, only success Nate had was in the clinch against the fence.
3) Got dropped multiple times, McGregor didn't get dropped ONCE in the first fight and has never been finished with strikes.


I'm not really a McGregor fan, but it's pitiful and hilarious to see what hate does to some people here.

1. There is a difference between attempting trips and shooting a bad shot because you are half knocked out and out of options. Wrestling in and of itself is not panic wrestling, and Conor never used that term that way himself. He was referring to people who shoot for takedowns spastically... you know... like he ended up doing. He was being mocked for becoming exactly what he had disparaged others for doing.

2. Nate is a better boxer. All of his successes in the second fight came from using boxing to control the distance, not get finished, and land offense. Conor is a better overall striker and has a more complete game. He won punching exchanges, but not boxing exchanges. There is a difference.

3. Never heard number three. Not once. Conor did not drop, but he was basically out on his feet. His equilibrium was gone. That's what turned him into a panic wrestler as opposed to a wrestler.
And when Nate got dropped he kept fighting for 4 more rounds. He didn't roll over for the easy tap.

How? simple. They both were the hottest commodity, the unbeatable forces that were obnoxious but could back it up.
The Ronda gets KTFO and disappeared.
Her aura of invincibility? Gone.
All fighters who would be mentally defeated before they entered the cage and didn't know how to defeat her are now confident they can exploit blatant the holes in Ronda's game.

As for Conor, it is basically the same thing.
