Deadlifts or Squats - for hitting the ASS??

They look okay?

Any specialists among us?

From what I understand, Sumo's hit the glutes more than trap bar DL's - so if they look okay - I certainly make them part of my routine.

I'm tellin' ya, folks. Nothing targets the glutes more than Zimbabwean Smith machine deadlifts on blocks. Give it a shot, TS.

Is that the one where the whole Smith machine is up on blocks? I love that one. Murders the glutes.

Proper set up of the machine is key here.

I hit sumo's properly for the first time this morning.

They felt simply awesome.

I think possibly my new favorite exercise.

Have a look and crtiicize plz:

And have a quick butchers at these low bar squats also.

I know my depth is not good but, my hip flexion is terrible.

For the second time: Make a fucking training log. That's where your workout stuff goes.

edit -- deads look good, squats you're going to need to back the weight down until you can hit depth.

I'm pretty sure there are threads already discussing box squats. If you want dat ass to be juicy as fuck and make all dem bitches give you the look, box squats are great. Paused.

Also - can anyone clarify this for me?

Are box squats worth my while?

Okay - by training log, what exactly do you mean?

Is that a specific sub thread/forum here or something?

I think he meant that paused box squats can definitely give you gainz. 4x8 is a good rep range. Heavy but volumeous.
You can also use box squats to work on strength at different sticking points of your lift. But like I said there are threads already discussing the benefits and challenges of box squatting.

Even with no weight on the bar, I can't go lower than that.
Even without a bar, I can't get lower.

In fact, the heavier the weight, it presses me down so, I tend to get a LITTLE lower.
That's my hip flexion problem I mentioned.

I stretch my ass off erry day also.

Can you link a good one?

This just isn't true, you're not disabled, you can squat to depth. If you can sit on a milk crate or something low like that, you can squat that low. You're mentally fighting yourself.

I can sit on a crate sure, but not with proper squat form.
My lower back will round horribly.
