    Well?

Which one hits the ass better?

    I think it's probably squats.

The deadlifts I used to do were always with the hex bar - works more quads than glutes.
Recently I started with the straight bar which apparently hits better the posterior chain/ass - right?

But in either case - I think squats are probably the best exercise for ass development.

    No.
Barbell deadlifts and sld's will work the glutes more because there is more hip hinging than a squat. Bret contreras has covered this ad nauseum in the last 3 years along with glute bridging.

Make a training log. Stop making threads. Use the search.

There's three for the price of one. That should help your ass.

Who cares? They're both highly effective at gluteal activation, when performed properly.

Romanian deadlifts - I need to start working these.

I tried stiff leg dl's back in the day - but my hip flexion is horrible.

I think I can make some good progress with RDL's.

what's with that guy anyway? He built an entire career out of his glute obsession. I've never seen a person so singularly focused with one muscle group.

With the rise of weight lifting and ass fetishes/twerking/instagram these last decades there's bound to be a lot of cash in it. He seems like a knowledgeable guy though and if you had to pick one muscle group then the glutes are not a bad choice.

Get your shit pushed in, go for high volume hypertrophy rep range 3-4 x 8-12. Make sure to superset them

I have yet to come across an exercise more functionally relevant to the glutes than the hinge femoral concept row. Just make sure that you activate your glutes one at a time. There are 4 so each rep is focused on one. It takes some practice though.

    Hip thrusts?

    Does anyone actually do them?

They look ridiculous, and they're certainly not functional.

I'm pretty sure the GHR is old and doesn't work anymore.
